Spurtle? Yes!
This is beautiful! I am left-handed, and was concerned this might be designed for right-handed folks. Nope! It works with either hand. The teak looks high quality, the handle is fatter than the blade and is therefore more comfortable to hold than a flat paddle shape. The oil finish is beautiful, it is well sanded and very smooth. It works well with my sourdough starter, but I can see using this for all kinds of batters, and porridges. I just love it. Plus, who couldn’t love a little something called “ spurtle”?

Beautiful and functional Dough Whisk
Excellent product. I was looking for a non-metal dough mixing tool, and I found this Dough Whisk. Not only is it 100% made of wood, but it's also easy to use and looks super attractive. The 13-inch handle gives you a very good grip and leverage. Most definitely will recommend to whoever needs a great dough whisk.

One of my must haves for sourdough!
I love my wooden spurtle! It is a must have for me in the sourdough process. I use a mason jar to keep my sourdough starter in and this spurtle is perfect! It is long and narrow and fits a pint jar well. Easy to grip top handle and stir. Scrapes the sides and bottom of jar well to give a good full combination of the flour, water and starter. I can stir well and incorporate the ingredients and some air into the starter.I only hand-wash this. So I see this lasting me a very long time. Great quality item. Highly recommend!

Thick handle - easy on the hand!
Excellent quality! Handle is thick enough to be easy on the hand. The other ones are thinner wood and cut into my hand when stirring the thick sourdough starter. I've been using it for 8 months, and it's very sturdy. Smooth wood washes clean quickly and easily. I highly recommend!

Spurtle
I purchased this for when I am baking with sourdough. It works great! I have no issues with it. I don’t wash it in the dishwasher or even if I hand wash I just don't let it soak in the dish soap. Wash it and put away. When the shine starts to wear off I do apply some avocado oil to it. Just put a light amount on rub it in then I leave it set out so I don’t get the oil on my other utensils. When it is done I just wipe off the extra oil and put it away. Easy to use, works great also when you have to scrape on the inside of the container to get all the sourdough off the sides and stirred in. I love the look of the spurtle beautiful craftsmanship. It is not to thick which I really like. The size for me is perfect. I can get into my large container which holds the sourdough starter with no problems. I thought the price for this spurtle was good.

Decent.
From a wordworking stanpoint, this is an overpriced piece. It's very simple to make. From a baking standpoint, if you don't know how to handmake a spurtle, this one is pretty good. Durable, comfortable to hold, and easy to clean. Been using one for years, was just too lazy to carve one this time.

Another great design
Strong. Sturdy. Great handle feel. Spot-on curve. Good heft. Use for everything, not just mixing dough - scrambled eggs, browning ground beef, tossing coleslaw, etc. Just make sure to oil it up really well before using. I put mine in a low oven for 10+ minutes to get the pores to open up. Then coated it with Boos Oil (or mineral oil) and let them sit for two days on wax paper. Gave them another hit and wiped off excess. Then retreat once even month or two if it starts to get dry. [Yes, wooden utensils need maintenance, but over time they season.]
