Large capacity, no drips
This fat separator surprised me with how well it works. The top screen captures larger chunks of foods, then I let it sit for a bit while the fat floats to the top and solidifies. The valve does not leak at all for me, and when I am ready, I push the lever to get the good fluids to pour out in a very controlled manner. With 4 cups of capacity, I can make a lot of gravy. While I'm finding it durable, I still try to let the fluids cool a little before dumping them in.I am very pleased that the plunger does not leak. It sits in the center of the bottom of the unit, making it super easy to use. The lever on top of the handle controls the valve, which is fairly easy to depress in a controlled way to adjust the flow. When done separating the gravy, it is easy to clean. The top screen just pops out, then the bowl unscrews from the handle section. I found it much easier to depress the level while taking the bowl off and putting it back on. All the pieces fit in the top rack of my dishwasher. In addition to the fat separator, I got a veggie peeler in this kit. It's a fun and versatile peeler, with a blade that spins to offer multiple cutting shapes and designs. A nice bonus. This gravy fat separator works well. Not only is it easy to use, the capacity is perfect for my normal cook, the valve does not leak on me, and it's super easy to clean. I've now used it for several different types of sauces, and it's stepped up my game every time. I think it's a great value purchase.

Works well
I have a different fat separator, and it has worked well. But, there are so many times when I need to separate the fat from a large pot of soup, etc, and only having one of these means it takes forever. So, when I saw this, I decided to try it. So far, it works as intended and doesn't leak. Some time ago I had another fat separator that always leaked a little, leaving a mess behind, so I tossed it and bought the one I currently have. Adding this one is a big help, and it does the job nicely. My only suggestion is to make the top strainer with finer holes as a lot of small stuff makes it past the strainer, and I'd rather not have anything but liquid in my separator. But, I'll just continue to pre-strain the liquid with my chinois, then pour it into the separator. The red lever to open and close works without issue, but it does seem like it could be sturdier. As long as it continues to work without issue, it's not a problem. The stopper also works as intended, and holds the liquid. It's made of a clear plastic that so far hasn't been at all bothered by hot liquids, and hopefully, over time, that'll remain the case.I've only hand washed it as it's not hard to wash, and, even though parts of it are dishwasher safe, it's easier just to hand wash it when washing the soup pot.Overall, it works well, separates the fat, is easy to hand wash, so I recommend it.

Works well enough at eliminating oil or grease
This fat separator works pretty well. It isn't huge, but it is a decent size and can be held in one hand. It does separate the fat from the liquid and allows you to drain the liquid out of the container. I have struggled some to stop the flow before the fat or grease starts to drain out as well. But this beats trying to skim or use a turkey baster to suck the oil off the top of things. It remains to be seen how sturdy it is as it is made of plastic, but overall it's not hard to use and it does help with eliminating unwanted oils or grease from food. The multisided peeler was nice bonus.

This clever kitchen tool allows you to separate fat from liquids instantly, featuring a bottom-release trigger that gives you total control over your pour. The design is incredibly efficient. It includes a built-in strainer to catch unwanted food particles and herbs, making your sauces smoother and more professional. The heat-resistant, clear container also features easy-to-read measurements, so you can track exactly how much liquid you're working with. For the price, the combination of mess-free operation, durable construction, and the ability to significantly reduce the fat content in your meals offers truly outstanding value for money. Works well, but feels a little flimsy
I used this fat separator for a few meals now, and overall, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The bottom-release design is great for getting just the broth out and leaving the grease behind without much of a mess. The main reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the build quality of the release mechanism. The button and the plunger inside feel a bit flimsy to me. I’m concerned they might not hold up over the long term with regular use, especially when dealing with hot liquids. That said, it has worked fine so far and the included peeler was a nice little bonus. If you’re careful with the handle and trigger, it’s a very handy tool to have in the kitchen for making gravy or straining stocks.
