Nice, razor sharp flexible blade

I like this knife. Despite the thin blade this knife has some heft to it and handles well. Fillet knives are supposed to have a thin, flexible blade but this blade is even more flexible than most. It makes skinning fish a joy.Keep in mind that pakkawood is often used for knife handles. It's hard and durable but it is not dishwasher safe. Not many quality knives are.The thing that I'm not wild about is the wood grain like pattern that has been laser engraved along the blade face. This is a popular "feature" that has been a widely used marketing ploy in the last decade or two despite the fact that it serves no purpose whatsoever. It's supposed to make people think of Damascus steel which has gained a mythical status over the centuries but has nothing to do with this knife.Run away if you see a knife that claims to be Damascus steel. It's not.
