The wood grain look is nice. Holds the different size knives we use in our kitchen. The light is a nice touch and useful at night. The strength of the magnet is strong and has held many different size knives.
The Magnetic Knife Strip has done what it has claimed. I installed this under one of our 'over counter' kitchen cabinets, and it has successfully made our counter top knife block 'disappear'!The light is a nice touch to lightly illuminate what's beneath it, which in my case is the darkest corner of the kitchen. It's not the brightest, but its also not the longest working light (battery stores a good charge but it's not going to stay on forever without a cord plugged into it; that's the next project!).Very happy with the result!Overall, highly recommend.
This thing was pretty fancy. We had it on our tile backsplash with 4-5 knives on it. It fell after a few months though, and we followed the instructions and waited a few days before adding weight. The sticky stuff it comes with is still stuck to my tile with the “finish” of the magnetic bar
Works as intended.
Sent it back right away. The lighting didn't really work. It barely lights or changed tone (kelvin). It looked very cheap and junky too. Like a dollar store find. The back side was not flush where the light and battery pack are. So it does not sit flush on a wall, it sticks out on one side by about 5mm.You have to glue it to your wall! The back side is not flush so good luck getting enough glue on there to hold several knives. If you have expensive knives, do not use this! Several have reported it falling to the floor when the glue fails.Plus, if you ever want to move it, you will have to pry it off the wall and re-glue it somewhere else. Want to redesign your kitchen, well, it's glued on!
To be honest I never use the light part, bc other than it looking cool....it's not enough light to do anything. BUT they're a super strong magnet! I didn't use the stickera they give you bc I was nervous about them being permanent and messing up my wall. BUT I used three 3M strips and hot damn they're great! They hold a LOT of knives 👍🏼
Seems ok. Light pretty dim. No adjustments can be made to the lights brightness.. does not come with magnets or others means of mounting to different surfaces
