I got this for work, because we have to wash ingredient bins by hand, and picking stray food bits out of the drain is a huge pain in the butt.This performs that function perfectly, as I can spray the bins and dump them, and the water passes right through, leaving the bits to be knocked out into the trash can. It’s just the right size to be suspended on the sides of the sink.One problem is that bits can get trapped between the metal rim and the mesh, so make sure you check in order to keep things sanitary. Cleaning is easy enough; just blast it out with a sprayer and immerse in sanitary solution. An occasional trip through a home or industrial dishwasher is a good idea too.Use cases: Rinsing ingredients bins before washing, draining liquid from ingredients.

This Strainer Bowl is Brilliant!
When I received this I thought that I had made a stupid purchase. The packaging was breached and there was a red stain on the strainer bowl. But I washed off the stain and thought I'd try it for a few days. The first day I used it at least 5 times while I made soup and other dishes. I used it for rinsing lentils, washing and culling fresh herbs and veggies, draining pasta, etc. It fits easily between my colanders and is much lighter weight than a ceramic bowl. This is actually worth the price to me since I do so much prepping and cooking at home. It is extremely practical and well designed to save time and energy while preparing food.
