Such a good buy! I use this strainer mostly for draining rice. It is very sturdy and easy to use. It does not flex downward with weight in it. You could definitely use this strainer for other staining purposes: removing the pul from oranges, removing seeds from veggies or fruit. I would definitely recommend!

Was on a broth and creamed soups diet restriction after surgery. A hibachi restaurant near us sells an amazing onion soup, but it took forever to pick the onions out so I could drink it. This made straining out the onions extremely simple and was the perfect size for filtering the broth into a mug.
It's a great strainer and the mesh is very fine. I use mine to strain vegetables before freezing and they don't drain off as I would like. Apparently I wasn't aware how fine the mesh was. The description is accurate,so it would be better used for anything that doesn't need liquid drained off only. The strainer is well made and the handle is comfortable.
I mainly use this when juicing to siphon any grit out of the juice. I have a very nice juicer so I don't get much pulp on general but this item does well removing any grit/pulp and foam. That way I get very smooth juice. It also cleans up easily so long as I clean it right after use.
Very sturdy and well made. Grating is small enough that you can rinse lentils. Very pleased with this purchase.
Honestly I wasn't expecting this strainer to be as well made as it is for the price. It worked wonderfully when I used it and held up well through the dishwasher. I'll be using this strainer for years to come! Highly recommend!
