Good tempering
Super impressed with the temperature control. It’s small which is good for storage, but you can’t do large matches. It did an excellent job tempering dark chocolate for a good snap and shine.

It melts great but you need to watch it. The temperature control randomly changes temperature. Handle really needs work also.
This melting pot heats up/ functions well, appears to be good quality, and is easy to use. However, it’s weird that the handle is very hard to get on and off. It’s also unfortunate you can’t put on the lid when the handle is attached. As others stated, why is the range of temps not marked on the pot? That would be tremendously helpful. It’s helpful that while it’s heating, the light is red, and once it is at the temp you set it to, the light turns green. It’s a little small, as I use this for dipping cookies in and will only be able to do one at a time with this size.Cleaning up melted chocolate is never easy, but this pot looks like it’ll be easier than other setups.
Had so much fun with this candy melter
I like to work with compound chocolate and chocolate molds, but I knew there had to be a better way than using the microwave and glass dishes. I just found out I was wasting so much time! This fisca Chocolate Melting Pot with Temperature Display and Adjustable Temperature makes it so much easier! The positives:I love using the divided silicone insert, so I can work on two molds at once, switching back and forth as one cools in the freezer. This divided insert holds a good amount of melted chocolate for smaller molds. With larger molds the other insert should be used, as I was running through the chocolate too fast.Being silicone, it's easy to clean afterwards. Chocolate, in general, is pretty easy to clean up. Even the drips on the heating unit cleaned up easily. The temperature held well at 121 degrees Fahrenheit for over an hour without burning or scorching the compound chocolate. The cons:The manual is a small sheet of paper that doesn't explain much. It refers to heated water more than once. I was wondering if I needed to put water in the melter before inserting the silicone, but the answer is no. No water is needed. The included paper collars were confusing. I tried to use one before inserting the divided silicone insert and it just tore. I honestly don't know why they're included. It works just fine without them. There is no way to know how far the dial is turned. When turning, it shows the set temperature briefly, before defaulting to the current temperature, so it can be set accurately, but having the temperature range on the device itself would make it easier to use.Overall, I think this melting pot is a great value. I'm so glad I have it, as it makes chocolate candy making a breeze!
This chocolate melting pot can also be used to melt cheese for fondue and wax for candles. Adjustable temperature dial with display to set heating level that's appropriate for whatever you're melting. One large pot and one dual chamber pot for melting two items at the same time such as milk chocolate and white chocolate. Has a transparent cover to retain heat for faster melting. When heating different items, you'll have to refer to the manual for the appropriate temperature setting since the temperature adjustment dial had no temperature setting markings for chocolate, cheese or wax, which is inconvenient. While the large pot has a handle that can be inserted for easier handling, the handle snaps in place and is very difficult to remove once it's installed and then preclude use of the transparent cover since there's no slot to accommodate the handle. Lack of temperature markings and foldable or easily removable handle make this melting pot somewhat less than desirable.
This pot lulls you into a false sense of security by promising you precise temperature control and saying that it will only give you a green light if it is at the correct temperature. What really happens is that once it initially reaches the desired temperature the light turns green and does not turn back to red even if the temperature drifts far away from what it should be. I've set it to 90F, gotten a green light, and realized a few minutes later that it had somehow reached 125F without alerting me that it had gotten too hot.I like that it is an easier way to heat chocolate than microwaving or using a hot water bath, but it might as well not have a temperature control at all.
