Solid equipment
Great pan. No rivets makes it a breeze to clean. Really well crafted. Just solid. Ended up buying the 7 piece set and was so impressed, I bought this one to round out the set. Just solid equipment and works great with induction. Even heating. I'll have these forever.

Quality Stainless Steel Saucepan
I needed a small saucepan to complement my six-pot set. I wanted something small enough to heat individual portions and make sauces. This saucepan fits the bill perfectly. The quality of the pan is superb, and even though it doesn’t have a pour spout, the lip is designed in such a way that it prevents any mess when pouring.

Professional quality
From the moment I unpacked the box containing the Sauce pan I could tell it was a quality product, the weight of the pan tells you that. We have had many pots and pans but none of them can compare to the Fissler brand. I feel that this sauce pan will last for a long time. I am looking into buying more items of the Fissler brand to replace my current cookware. I would most definitely recommend this brand to all my friends. It heats evenly and cleans up like a breeze.

The 1.5 quart does NOT have a grab handle on the opposite side
Every bit of promotional material must be for the 3 quart, but selecting the 1.5 quart does not change the pictures shown. If you were hoping for a grab handle, the 1.5 quart will leave you out of luck.

For the price I expected more
There is no question that this is a high performing piece of kitchen gear. I have an induction top and it performs very, very well on it - it heats up quickly, is very responsive, and the heat does a good job of creeping up the sides. The lid seats securely on the saucepan ensuring that very little vapor escapes. All handles stay cool (lid handle may get a bit warm but remains manageable with bare hands.)Notwithstanding the above I need to also consider its "value", and at this inflated price point it loses a solid star.First, I don't consider a matte finish on the exterior to be anything other than a veiled cost-cutting maneuver - it attracts fingerprints like a magnet and, worse, it scratches very easily. No excuse for non-mirror finishing unless the price point is reasonable, here Fissler went overboard...ludicrous.Second, the main handle, while comfortable, will turn in your hand should you lift the pot with sweaty/oily hands and attempt to pour. There is a helper handle so this can be mitigated by using two hands, though sometimes a one handed pour is preferred.Third, the edge of the lid is by no means smooth, rather it has a bit of a hard edge on it, so much so that I wonder if its manufacture is outsourced. The edge is sharp enough to scratch.Still, the overall cooking performance and relative ease of cleaning is such that I can't deny the four star rating. Would I buy this saucepan again? Probably not - it was an "impulse buy" at the time and I'm not overly impulsive. There is better price/performance to be had elsewhere, and this is coming from someone who is a Fissler fan.
