Ideal paper towel dispenser
The Fixwal paper towel dispenser means business. I was initially skeptical based on the price, but this thing delivers. It doesn't mess around with weird spring arms to hold your towels down - instead it incorporates a ratcheting mechanism (which the product description calls a "damper"). See the video I attached. It works VERY well. You can tear the towels off with one hand easily - I tested this both with blue shop towels and standard Bounty rolls. Installation is very easy, and there's plenty of clearance for a standard size large roll. Swapping rolls is as easy as sliding the tube off and a new roll onto the barrel springs - it is held quite securely. Best of all, with this ratcheting mechanism, there's no way a cat will unravel all the towels! I'm super satisfied. Already have 2, I'm going to buy 2 more. I have not had them for long in "high utilization" areas, so we'll see how the mechanism holds up after a year or so. The next one will go in the kitchen so time should tell very quickly.

What's Not To Like?
I ordered this towel holder in white. It matches the cabinetry and was quite easy to install. The caps on the screw heads make it even less revealing. What I like the most about this towel hold is that you can rip off a single sheet of the a paper towel roll and only that sheet comes off. The unique design of the towel holder does not permit the towels to slide down with having to reverse roll the paper towel holder like my old one. This is a no brainer if you are looking for a an excellent item that is inexpensive, does the job for which it was intended, and looks good under my cabinets. What's not to like?

Awful, awful drywall anchors
The holder itself works fine, but the drywall anchors that came with were the most godforsaken things I have ever used. Do yourself a favor and get better ones than those that came with this. Used the anchors rather than the adhesive assuming it'd be easier to just patch up the holes when we move out of our rental than ripping off a piece of wall, but boy howdy, did the busted up anchors leave giant holes....
