Bless this bread hook. I have never had a stand mixer before and used one at my parents' while home over the holidays to make bread, and this made it so much easier. Saved time, attached easily, arrived on time.
This fit my pre-owned Cuisinart mixer perfectly. I've already used it for bread. I couldn't find one through the company but you came through! Easy to clean as well.
This dough hook is invaluable. It does a much better job kneading than the hook provided by Cuisinart. I could not be happier. I make whole grain breads
I want to say I am very pleased so far with these beaters. They are so well made. I was concerned about them being too heavy for my Cuisinart Series SM-50 and would be better suited for the KA bowl lift mixers. However I baked bread 4 times and kneaded for up 8-10 minutes. My mixer head did get warm the first time. Now I just pause a bit, fold the dough occasionally, and it’s been the best so far. I have had perfect bread dough. I have not tried the flat beater yet. I am general a seasonal baker, holidays but bake bread more often. However after 4 years of using this mixer, look at original beater with the red check mark closely as after being a seasonal baker?? Who wants gray paint in their food regardless if it is food safe paint…goodness!! Glad I found a good steel set that will probably outlast the mixer.12/3/2024---Update: Model SM-50.... It's now a year since I used these beaters both the paddle and dough hook. I am still so pleased. I don't why some reviewers say it didn't mix well. This mixer requires scraping the bowl to guarantee ingredients are well incorporated....no way around this. Beaters NEVER should touch the bottom or sides of a mixing bowl regardless of the brand. They should skirt the bottom but this is a not a KA mixer. You can not adjust the beater height on this series/model unfortunately.
The paddle attachment that came with my Cusinart Stand mixer was not dishwasher washable and already showed sign of wear. This Stainless Steel beater still looks new and works wonderfully. As a plus it can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
I give it 4 stars for the kneading time.I bought this hook to replace the one that comes with the cuisinart mixer which started to peel after using it for a while, and based on the description where it says that it reduces kneading times, when you open it you can see that it is made of a totally different material, the weight is almost double the original. I used it for a day to knead 6 doughs of bread and the kneading time was not reduced, it took the same time as it took me with the original hook, however there is a difference in the dough, with the qAp hook it was better kneaded than with the original cuisinart hook.
The part of the blade that attaches to the machine attaches as one would expect, but the blade ends up sitting well over an inch above the bottom of the bowl, making it unusable. The blade on the right in the photo came with the machine and the one on the left is the one that I purchased separately on Amazon.
