Great steamer - the steel bands keep everything nice and tight

The few extra dollars to purchase a steamer held together with steel bands is money well spent. Other steamers eventually go wobbly and the covers stop fitting and the multiple levels stop lining up. This steamer is right and tight. Also, rather than woven bamboo strips on the bottom of the steamer pans, this version has solid wooden planks. The steam can easily rise, but again, everything stays tight. COVID caused our best dim sum restaurants to close down, but I've found that I can make some of the treats I like and our Asian markets carry some pretty darn good frozen dumplings. I'm really enjoying using this steamer a couple of times a week and I have lots of confidence that it will hang together for a good long time....not like some previous steamers, ahem, I've had in the past...

Excellent. Very sturdy and attractive set. Nice that it comes with 50 sheets of parchment so you can get right to steaming. Really glutenous dumplings will stick if you don't remove right away. Everything else too easy. Fish, veggies, all manner of dumplings.

Good steamer but make sure you dry thoroughly after use

I love dumplings and bao buns so I purchased this steamer after my last metal one rusted and broke. The steamer does it's job perfectly but make sure you clean and dry it before putting it away, or else you will get mold. I was able to clean it with bleach and warm soapy water.

Terrible quality steam liners ruined the entire purchase for me.

I like these steamer baskets for the most part. But the fact that the 50 steam liners are the most trash quality, really ruins the whole purchase for me. I buy frozen soup dumplings, and they come with a couple steam liners in the bag. They work great regardless of brand. But I just used the steam liners from this purchase for the third time (hoping for a new result for some reason) and I finally just threw the remaining liners in the trash. It's most frustrating because they destroy any dumpling they touch and it ruins the meal. They will stick and tear the bottom of all dumplings, making them un-edible. If you buy this package, plan to throw away the steam liners and buy others elsewhere.

Not deep enough

Bamboo steamer is wonderful except that they're not deep enough. My dumplings were hitting the top of the basket above it. I had to buy the adapter ring. Luckily Amazon sells the 10-in adapter ring. Thank goodness. Now I can make big fluffy buns. So happy with the product now.
