Good funnel, fits my 6qt
This is a really nice stand mixer funnel. This was "...Designed specifically for KitchenAid stand mixers, this funnel precisely matches the size and angle of the mixer’s ingredient inlet for a secure, stable fit. Compatible with most popular models including Artisan and Professional Series, it installs easily without adjustments and prevents shaking or leakage commonly caused by mismatched funnels, ensuring a cleaner and more convenient baking experience...". I can completely agree with this statement. I'm using this on a 6 qt professional model and it works great. KitchenAid makes a hard plastic version that really doesn't work so great. Theirs is a two piece version that sits on the rim of the bowl. Unfortunately, this really gets in the way when you have to scrape down the bowl - you have to remove it. The additional length of this funnel does allow this to work on most if not all models. Although I don't have a 7 or 8 at model, I believe this might work given the dimensions. One of the things I really like about this is that you can pour liquids, dry ingredients and even items like nuts, fruits or chips and they don't really get bogged down, obviously you need to put the dry ingredients in first. When this first arrived I did my typical initial inspection and didn't find any major issues or defects that would render this unusable. At this price point (~$14), I believe this is a good value for a 6 qt mixer funnel. However, currently there is a coupon available for $2.80 off. This brings the price down to $11.19 and making this a really great value. A quick search shows similar items that will work with 6 qt models costing between ~$19-30. Would I order this again? Yes, and in fact I've already ordered another one so I can dedicate one specifically for dry and the other for wet items.Hope this helps.
