GREAT towels! Nice and thick for the price! Great value!
A nice towel with a good price. I usually purchase Aunt Martha's stitch 'em up but was looking for something more affordable. I took a chance on these and wasn't disappointed. The natural color is a bit darker than Aunt Martha's and the fabric is a bit more textured. In the photo, the towel on the left is Aunt Martha's and the one on the right is Heirloom Comfort. I use these for embroidered gifts. Given the variety of sizes available and the good quality for the price, these are my new favorites. Highly recommend.
I use flour sack towels to dry meats before cooking, strain foods, and dry dishes. It’s lint-free and super absorbent.
These are great dish drying/washing towels. They absorb water really well, and they're large enough that I even if one end gets saturated, there is still a lot of dry towel real estate to use. I was concerned about how well they would wash, but I threw them in the deep end (high heat/thorough dry/etc) because I know me, and I want kitchen towels that can withstand intense and regular washes. Despite what it says on the tag (wash cold/tumble dry low/etc), they came out in the same condition they went in. No issues with weak seams or stray threads. They seem really durable, which is exactly what I hoped for.One thing to note is they get super wrinkly after washing, even when I get them out of the dryer immediately. For me, I think it kind of enhances the natural flour sack look lol, especially since it's combined with the natural unbleached "natural" color. But if you're particular about your kitchen towels looking pristine, be ready to iron these. They're not super thick, which I think actually makes them easier to use with dish drying. It's easy to get into nooks and crannies with these, and that's particularly helpful if you have a lot of interestingly shaped mugs & dishes like I do. They're lightweight, but they're large enough that they don't fly off my towel hooks/bars as easily as my other kitchen towels, which is a nice bonus.
I am constantly baking or prepping something and go through way too many paper towels trying to gently and lightly cover whatever perishable ingredients are on my island, when I have to pause to do something else. I’m a little weird about the air and imagine dust and a plethora of other particles, or worse, a fruit fly(!) landing on the food. I just can’t leave it exposed. Paper towels are a quick-semi fix, but they don’t work well at all and it’s such a waste. I always reuse the towels to clean something, but still. Disposable. These flour sack cloths are so much larger and a million times better to gently covering EVERYTHING, not just proofing bread. I toss them in the wash on gentle, and sometimes just hand wash them if my sink is empty. I really enjoy having my little stack of these on my island shelf for easy and frequent access. Huge convenience, I imagine I will now use these forever. Will recorder if and when they ever need to be replaced, and even if they do, they are still an amazing value for how much I am saving on paper towels!
These oversized towels are a fantastic addition to any kitchen. The 100% cotton material feels soft yet sturdy, making them ideal for drying dishes, wiping counters, or handling hot cookware. At 28×28 in, they’re large enough for bigger tasks like covering dough or straining liquids, which is a huge convenience. I’ve washed them several times, and they hold up well without shrinking or fraying, which is impressive for the price. They’re also lightweight and quick-drying, so they’re easy to keep on hand for daily use. My only minor complaint is that they aren’t the most absorbent for heavy spills, but for general kitchen tasks they work perfectly. Overall, these towels are versatile, durable, and great value.
