So steam them!!!

So many reviewers complained about these being too thin, and that they arrived folded, leaving a crease. First, they are sturdy enough to wipe clean with a damp cloth or sponge. If you don’t intend to pick up a bowling ball with them these are plenty thick enough for their intended use as placemats. Pretty, vibrant colors! Second, those creases come out in literal seconds. Just hold them over a pot of boiling water and watch the steam relax them to flat right before your eyes. Magic.

Cute Placemats for the Price

These Valentine’s Day placemats were just what I was looking for to decorate my table. I love the colors and the design. They were easy to clean and wipe off and I could throw them in the washing machine if they got too dirty. My only complaint is that When I received them, they were folded in half and it was difficult to get the crease out first I tried washing them and then putting them through the dryer, but that did nothing. Next, I boiled some water on the stove and held the placemats over the steam to get the crease out. While they were drying I placed a heavy bowl on top for added pressure. This helped the most, but there was always a little bit of a bend in a few of the placemats. No matter I still love them and I’m glad I bought them.
