I have had an old splatter screen for several years. And while it did its job, it was a pain to clean and didn't cover my big skillet that I use all the time. This foldable splatter screen has been great! It is big enough to cover my 13" skillet and won't slide off on the smaller ones because it is silicone. I love that it is foldable...not only does it save on storage space (yay for not having another awkward thing to stack!) but you can fold one side over when cooking to flip or stir without making a huge mess. The only thing that would have been nice is maybe having the folding part lockable in some way to use the screen as a strainer.Cleaning is super easy because of the silicone...just a quick wipe and you are done! I use this all the time and this is a great addition to your kitchen.

This splatter screen works well for different size skillets and pans. It is lightweight and easy to handle. It folds easily with the handle easily popping into place. The silicone material makes cleaning easy by handwashing or dishwasher. The splatter screen itself keeps grease and other liquids from popping out of pan/skillet. I have used it for frying bacon and sausage and the grease did not pop out hitting me or stovetop. It also works well when making tomato sauce that likes to pop out of skillet. Switching over from a traditional metal mesh spatter screen, I can report that this foldable silicone splatter screen with metal handle is far superior. First, the number of vent holes is lower, and they are spaced further apart, so way less oil gets through and out onto the surrounding surfaces. Second, it's mostly made of silicon, so not only does it never get hot enough to burn you, it cleans up in a second - grease and food just slides right off.Best of all is the folding function. both the handle and the screen itself fold in half, making storage a breeze. Other screens take up a lot of space and have to be stored with the sheet pans, making everything all wonky. This unit could slide in any drawer or cabinet.As for size, it fits every large sauté and frying pan I own - 13" is BIG - but it rests nicely on smaller pans as well and is balanced so it doesn't fall off. Highly recommend - well worth the price.
