What a great starter kit! It had just what I needed to get started, especially since I didn't know I needed some of these things. I love how the mill has different sizing for the grate. The assembly was easy to put together and even switching grates is easy. They provide the perfect size funnel for easy pouring and less spillage. The measuring tool, I would have never thought of but it can be useful. The tongs for pulling the jars out of water was perfect and very much appreciated. Really nice set! Would make a great gift for someone wanting to get into canning.

Handy Mill and great extra tools

This "GemFino Food Mill Stainless Steel With 3 Grinding Discs and Complete Canning Supplies Starter Kit of 8-Includes Tongs, Jar Lifter, Wrench, Lid Lifter, measurer,Funnel,Labels,Multifunctional Spoon(DM-BL-GR)" food mill is made very well. I got this mill for the necessity of mashing things; in the event of losing electricity, I still can mash potatoes in case the power goes out when I'm making supper, which has happened before.It's a pretty ingenuous piece of kitchenware and it does work very well, but I had to keep a silicone spatula on hand, to keep pushing the veggies under the masher arm and to remove the other mashed veggies that got stuck on the grinding plate. That's really a minor thing, considering it did mash things very well.I did also like the tools that came with this mill, because one can never have enough canning supplies. I like that they were all green and I've been needing a good lid lifter. I like the bubble remover as well as the jar lifter and the jar opener. The favorite though is the included scoop with the holes. This is by far the best vegetable scoop I now own. It picks up veggies in broth and drains them better than any of my other slotted spoons.Overall I really like this mill and the included tools. The whole kit is a great addition to my kitchen and will be used regularly.

I have been on the lookout for some thing that has more blades. When I saw this, I knew it was going to be perfect..It came with three different blades. It has the bottom where you can sit it. It came with tools that I don’t even know existed. I love it.I have already used a couple of time to make food with it. I’m actually thinking of buying one for my parents because I believe the one they have is also old. Right now it is unavailable, but I am waiting just forward to come back on the market so I could buy more for friends and family.I really really like this and I can’t wait to put it to more usage.

Great kit for the first time home canner

The food mill came with all the essential pieces needed for a first time home canner (minus the water bath). The food processor is easy to put together and operate. I like the different gauge disks allowing me to make a chunky applesauce but also make a smooth cranberry sauce with no seeds.
