This was bought for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it!!! She loves the fact that you can adjust the size. It has 3 connecting mats so it makes it a small medium and large length warming mat!!! Works great!!!

This definitely functions well as a "massive heating pad" to keep foods warm. It definitely takes a bit of time (~5-10 minutes) to actually reach it's max temperature though since the max power is 450 watts across all 3 pads. At the size and price, I would have liked to see something closer to a peak of 650 watts.While the rubber encapsulated heating pad seems well constructed, I can't exactly say the same about the plastic "end joints". It's fairly easy to accidentally pull the pads apart a bit too hard, ultimately detaching/stripping the small flimsy screws holding the plastic housing together. This doesn't seem to break the product, and is fairly easy to fix, so I will only take off one star for that.The overall aesthetic/construction is visually pleasing, and wouldn't look too corny if being used on a table.

The mat is a great idea and was something I had been interested in before. You can keep food warm and have all the different dishes out at the same time...no running back and forth to the kitchen. It is large enough for a slow-cooker insert or even a large casserole dish with extra room for platters and such.You get three sections that hook together to make up different sizes based on the number of dishes being put on on the table. It plugs right on in, but does take a while to heat fully. The heating unit is covered and won't hurt your table or burn a table runner if using. Actually, it doesn't get as hot for that as it is strictly for warming food and not heating them up from cold. I love that it is easy to use and gives the cook a chance to sit with everyone else.The set is basic gray so don't think about matching your décor...it's not for that. But it does provide a service when you are serving larger parties. I don't feel it's necessary for just everyday dinners. It can go in a buffet drawer and out of sight when not being used. The materials are pretty good and seem to be able to last a long time. When you hook the sections to each other, they seem fairly stable. No sliding around, but they did not seem as tightly locked a they could have been. Overall, I do feel it would work fine, but just for keeping your food warm while everyone is eating, but not all night.
