A Great Low-Profile Upgrade That Makes Our Vitamix Even More Versatile
I’ve been wanting a low-profile pitcher for our Vitamix 5200, so when I saw this one on Amazon, I decided to try it. We’ve had our Vitamix for over 10 years, and it came with the taller container, but some foods just don’t blend as evenly in the tall style, and I find myself having to remove the pitcher from the base and give it a good swirl or push the items down with a spatula.The blades are wide and powerful, and so far we’ve used it for pancake batter, Dutch babies, and crêpes, and my smoothies - all blended beautifully. The broader base will also be perfect for creamed soups and frozen summery drinks. Overall, it’s a great addition to the standard taller pitcher, making our Vitamix even more versatile.

Works great! But I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a third party container or a counterfeit.
I'm honestly not sure how exactly to rate this product. In the listing, it appears that it is REPLACEMENT FOR the Vitamix brand container. So the intent is to be a third party container, which I have no problem buying. It's about $15 cheaper than the brand name Vitamix container. However, looking at the bottom of the container, it is still stamped in the molding as "Vitamix", which tells me this is more of a counterfeit container than a known third party container. There is a world of difference between "for Vitamix" and claiming to be an actual Vitamix brand. Overall the build quality is similar, although the lid is a little more rigid.

Great Backup Pitcher for Our Vitamix VM0100A
I have what I believe to be a commercial grade vitamix blender (VM0100A). It has a big 64oz pitcher, which is great for making margaritas for a party or milkshakes for a kids sleepover, but for those times when I just want to blend a dipping sauce for dinner or make a smoothie for one, the big pitcher is actually kind of a hassle — just the thought of cleaning the whole thing for just one drink will have me looking for another snack instead.Enter this pitcher, which is great for smaller recipes and definitely easier to clean. Just the fact that it has a sort of 2-pronged blade instead of the 4-pronged blade in the other pitcher makes it easier to clean. Reaching in to clean the taller 4-prong pitcher means that I’m always at risk of cutting myself — there’s no way to clean around it without contacting one of the 4 prongs. The 2-prong blade allows me to spin the blade to clean around it. And just the fact that this is shorter and smaller makes it easier to clean and store. One thing to note is that my blender has a rubber mat that sits on top of the motor housing. It ensures that the pitcher sits snugly into the top of the drive socket, but this pitcher has a little tab in its base that bumps against one of the posts on top of the blender. Its rubber, so i have to either move one of the rubber posts to the side just a bit, or i have to press down on top of the blender to make sure the base of the pitcher sits flat and makes proper contact with the drive socket in the blender base. Anyway, it does work with my blender — with a little extra effort — but the marketing copy specifically states that the pitcher is compatible with my model of vitamix. Still I’m glad to have a smaller pitcher to use and would recommend it.

As good as the original!
Nice replacement pitcher for my Vitamix. Comes with lid, blade, pitcher and rubber cleaner. I really can't tell the difference between this one and my old one. It appears to be made from the same quality of materials and parts as the original from the manufacturer.
