I Bought Lots Of Flatware; I Only Kept These

Properly weighted and feel good in the hand, despite having more squared-ish handles, which I didn't think I would like, but actually I don't mind at all. They look and feel very high quality. The look is modern, and appear form-follows-function-y. And they do, in fact, function well. The value is moderate. They don't seem an amazing value, but you're getting what you pay for. I really like everything about these EXCEPT, be aware: the table spoon is a soup spoon. That is to say, its shape is great for ladling out soup, but it is not conducive to putting the entire spoon bowl in one's mouth. The tea spoon is oversized, and much more appropriate to eating ice cream or apple sauce or another soft food that one might eat with a spoon. But, I "test-drove" lots of different designs, and these are the ones I'm keeping.

Pricey but very nice

One reviewer noted that there's a logo stamped on the pieces. I first bought a single place setting to see for myself. Personally, I don't find it an issue. I just ignore it. I was a bit concerned that it might be a place that food collects, but haven't had that problem. I know they should be hand washed but I put them in the dishwasher anyway with no problem. I avoid lemon-scented diswasher detergent because I believe (don't know for sure) that it's acidic and that's what harms metals. Since changing detergents haven't had a problem. Probably not good long term, though. I liked the "test" set so much I bought two 4-place settings. They are hefty and solid, nicely polished with no sharp edges, finely machined, and nicely balanced (no flipping out of the soup bowl like a catapult). All in all, nice enough quality to serve guests, and a touch of luxury for everday meals. The design is modern and neutral and classy. Tired of eating from utensils just one step above cafeteria quality. If you can afford them, by all means get them and take good care of them. Just a note about shipping: the box they ship in has an open face, and each time the "display" set became dislodged and were loose in the box. The others are nicely protected in individual plastic sleaves and sets put in boxes underneath, though.
