Slices easily.
This is wonderful! I had a similar product that lasted a long time. This one feels strong to me. I am looking forward to using it for years! Love it!
Have always had this type of cheese cutter. Purchased this one several years ago and needed a replacement after my son broke it. This one didn’t last one use and spin through the dishwasher
Works well for peeling off slices. Metal/plastic interface seems well enough designed to last for a while. Big plus is it takes up almost no space as an effective kitchen tool.
I bought this slicer to replace an old one whose wooden handle fell apart. I was happy when I opened the box. Despite negative reviews to the contrary, I though it looked very well made. I used it daily and it worked flawlessly for about a week. Then the cutting edge became duller and duller with each use. Eventually, it wouldn't cut much at all. I tried sharpening it with a emery board which surprisingly worked. But who wants to do that every time you use a utensil? I'm giving it three stars because it's not that expensive and it has potential. I will probably order another one and hope I get one with a good edge.
This was a very inexpensive product that I brought in 2011 after tossing several other options. I use a cheese plane frequently. I am shopping for a knife set for my brother and thought I recognized the brand name. I was surprised at how few reviews the brand seems to have, so I am adding this one. It's not a special cheese plane by any means, but it does the job. I may take a chance on the three knife set for my brother as he covets my Faberware cheese knife and the set has a cheese knife it in in addition to the plane. I don't put any knife or anything wooden in the dishwasher. The cheese plane pretty much looks like it does in its picture. I don't use it for soft cheeses. I use it for Swiss and cheddar, occasionally for Parmesan. It does not work well on smoked Gouda, that's a bit too soft.
