These ceramic soup bowls are perfect for a cozy bowl of soup on a chilly night!
I love the look of these bowls, they have a modern, cozy, and aesthetically pleasing look. I haven't had any issues with scratching, staining, or chipping after use, I've used them in the microwave, with soup on my electric stove, I've hand washed them, and have placed them in the dishwasher. They're the perfect single serving size for a hearty soup or even a casserole. They feel strong but not too heavy, the ceramic and overall design keep the contents hot while the handle still remains cool (even after microwaving). I confirmed these bowls are dishwasher and microwave safe.There are two holes on the bottom side of the handle for venting to prevent cracking from temperature changes. I understand the holes are necessary for venting but they do take in water while washing, its a little difficult to empty and its hard to feel confident that all water was drained. Other than that slight inconvenience, these are the perfect bowls!

Not convinced they're oven safe... But still a good set to have!
I gave 4 stars because the listing states that they are oven safe and I'm not entirely convinced that using them in the oven is a good thing for them. The first time I used them in the oven, they all were left with noticeable crack lines on the base. I know this sometimes happens with ceramic dishes... Over time though. The bowls themselves didn't feel cracked, but it was concerning since it was the first time using them. The second time though, there was a noticeable sound of them cracking. Again, no actual cracks... But the look and sound makes me weary that at some point, they may shatter while in the oven or as I'm pulling them out. I could just be a nervous Nelly... But from this point forward, I will use them in the microwave only or just to simply serve in. I do, however, love the size, the color and the weight of these bowls!!!

Set of Four Soup Bowls That Will Be Perfect for Any Home
This is a set of 4 French Onion Soup Bowls. Made of white ceramic, they remind me of the old ramekin bowls everyone had years ago, only with a handle and bigger. These are 16 ounce capacity, but I recommend only putting up to 14 ounces in them to prevent spillage.The bowl measures almost 5 inches in diameter, and 2.5 inches high. With the handle, they are 8 inches long.Of course, while they are called French Onion soup bowls, they can hold any soup or casserole or even individual pot pies.They work in the oven or microwave and are dishwasher safe. Since my family loves soup and pot pies, these bowls are perfect. They are heavier than soup bowls I have had in the past.I also want noted is that these were packed in a heavy box with enough insulation and cardboard to protect them from breaking or cracking. They are easy to store and use because they are stackable.These bowls will get more than their share of usage in my home.

These are BIG, & I do not like HOLE in handle
These are a true white not cream and are surprisingly large. Like a full bowl not a cup of soup. They clean okay and do scratch a bit. :/ One thing I truly despise the little hole on the underside of handle. I am sure this has something to do with heat retention or something but grosses me out in terms of cleaning- seems almost impossible to see what’s going on in the handle hole.
