I used to have a Myjo coffee maker for pods. However, the gasket in the bottom would come unglued. I needed another manual pod coffee maker. The Myjo was no longer available. I got this and I love it. It is more compact and works great for pods. I haven’t tried it yet with coffee grounds.
I really like how compact this unit is and that it has a travel case. I have a different older unit and it didn’t come with a carrying case and we still store it in the original box.This one stores nice and compact and brews directly into your mug. However, your mug needs to be able to accommodate the press. Some of my mugs are too wide or right at the edge. My other unit brews into a container which you then pour into a mug. This is nice because you always have a stable base but on the downside it makes the unit larger and it is another piece to clean. I do like that this unit comes with a reusable pod.One of the things I learned on my old unit is to very lightly oil the seal which makes pressing so much easier. I usually only have to do this once for numerous cups of coffee. I’m sure it would work the same in this one.My caution with this unit is to be sure that your mug fits and is stable otherwise you could make a mess or worse, burn yourself with spilled hot liquid.Seems to be well constructed and fairly priced. The travel case is a big plus.
It fit great over the my travel mug and all you need is boiling hot water.

The pictures definitely make this look easy. I would not recommend this for anyone who does not have strong hands because you will need to be able to push the water through the coffee pod into the mug. This particular coffee maker would be great if you are out camping, this is not necessarily something that would be for the home environment. Most homes have a coffee maker that does not require as much effort as this push to drink does.Unfortunately, this was not for me, and the price point is a bit steep for something that requires manual labor.
