Looks great while clean. Don't bother removing the beaker to clean- simply handwash it all.
This stainless steel and glass French press is certainly aesthetically pleasing, as showcased in marketing images where it's held in an elegant manner, creating an almost sensual allure typically reserved for more glamorous items. However, this allure diminishes once the coffee grounds are added. If the visual appeal of seeing the contents is unappealing to you, consider opting for a press that isn't transparent.The directions recommend washing the French press before initial use, but they suggest sliding the glass beaker out of the metal frame each time. This process feels cumbersome and somewhat precarious, as the glass beaker is quite thin, resembling a larger decorative light bulb. Pushing it out instills a sense of impending disaster, making me feel as though a trip to the emergency room is a possibility. Consequently, I find it uncomfortable to leave this press unattended in the sink, as a misplaced spoon could easily crack the delicate glass.That said, I've learned that removing the beaker may be necessary only in cases of extreme dirtiness. It's perfectly acceptable to leave the metal frame on while washing, although the painted surface might chip over time due to frequent cleaning.On the plus side, the press functions effectively, minimizing the number of coffee grounds that escape past the filters. I used cold water for brewing, and the results were satisfactory. The instructions do recommend warming the beaker in cold conditions to prevent heat cracks if hot water is being used. The visual process of brewing coffee—mixing and diluting—can be quite striking. I've come to appreciate how beautifully the coffee transforms during brewing, but it also reveals just how messy the process can be. Previously, the workings of brewing were hidden behind the opaque bodies of traditional coffee machines.In summary, this is a beautifully designed and functional coffee press, offered at a competitive price point. However, I have reservations regarding its durability in more demanding kitchen environments. The painted frame may wear down with frequent washing, and the glass beaker is vulnerable to accidental drops. Additionally, the appearance of the press after brewing can be off-putting, so if visual messiness is a concern for you, a fully enclosed metal option might be preferable. Nonetheless, if you're drawn to its aesthetic and performance, I would recommend trying it out.

Really handy for making one or two cups of tea at a time.
My wife loves tea. She has to have some tea every day which until now has had her driving all over town every picking up tea. Since we ordered the french press we have discovered all the possibilities of brewing our own loose leaf tea and this type of press is perfect for that. Not only that but it saves a lot of time and money brewing up a quick cup of tea. With a tiny pot it only takes about 4 minutes to boil the water and another 5 minutes to steep the tea. I've attached a video that shows just how simple the process is. And you can avoid the mess of using a tea pot, tea bags, and the possibility of consuming micro plastics.The other nice thing about using loose leaf tea is that your tea is always fresh and made right just to your taste. I'll admit that you have to play around a bit with tea amounts, steeping time, sugar amounts, etc.. But once you dial it in you can have your tea just like you like it in less than 10 minutes spending far less money and time. If you want iced tea then brew it right before bed and refrigerate.The French Press is also super nice looking. You can keep it out to add to the aesthetic look of your kitchen or dining room. It comes with an extra filter and is super easy to disassemble and clean. The container pulls out of the frame so you can place it in the dishwasher if you care to.

This stainless steel French press is beautiful and works great! The dual filtration system does an excellent job- between the fine stainless steel mesh and the reinforced filter plate, the coffee comes out smooth, rich, and well balanced with virtually no sediment. It truly preserves the pure coffee flavor, which makes each cup taste clean and full-bodied.One of my favorite parts is the brewing experience itself. The clear glass lets you watch the grounds bloom and swirl, which feels very satisfying and almost café-like. It’s also extremely easy to use- no special technique needed. Just add coffee, pour hot water, wait, and press for consistently great results.This press is also very versatile. I’ve used it for loose-leaf tea and cold brew, and it works just as well. It’s nice knowing it can handle everything from coffee to milk frothing or even hot chocolate, making it a handy multi-purpose tool in the kitchen.Cleaning is simple, too. Most parts are dishwasher safe, and the stainless steel components rinse clean easily. I do hand-wash the lid as recommended to keep it looking nice, but that’s a small trade-off for durability.One thing to note: it is much smaller than it appears in the photos.
