I’ve had my previous French press coffee maker for just over 10 years, so I was ready for something that looked a little more elegant. This one is very stylish. It’s a step up from the plastic covered one I’ve been using.I was surprised that the instructions focused more on care and cleaning and gave no one information on how to make the coffee. Not everyone has used this type of press before and this is such a pretty one that it would make a great gift, but only to people who are used to it unless you include a printout of coffee brewing instructions.You were going to want to play with the ratios of water to coffee to find out what you prefer. The Internet is loaded with different ideas and recipes for the grind of your coffee and the ratio of water to coffee, as well as how long to let it seep.You’ll note that this press shows the 24 ounce mark on the outside, but it’s really considered a 34 ounce press. When the instructions tell you that it makes 8 cups of coffee, keep in mind those are very small cups not the American sized coffee cups!Given the winter weather, a lot of people are having with the possibility of power outages, as long as you have coarse- ground coffee beans, a heating source like a gas grill, and this coffee press, you can make coffee during an emergency.Happy brewing!

Perfect press! Solid quality and excellent performance
Got this as a gift for my sister. I love the idea of a french press, but I drink coffee too frequently to have something so fussy as a french press. However, my sister likes coffee just every once in a while - and thus doesn't have a coffee maker. An item like this fit her needs perfectly. Super small footprint for something you're not going to be using every day - but still just as good as a larger machine. First impressions - the copper accents were just stunning. We then tested it out to make sure it worked as good as it looked. The taste of the coffee and quality of the mechanisms were on par with a much more expensive machine. It also functioned perfectly, keeping the coffee grounds perfectly contained and not in my cup. Overall brewing capacity was somewhere in the ballpark of 32 oz - so enough for three people to get a mug. On any given day, this would likely fit my needs if no one else wanted any. But for her infrequent and low volume demands ... It is exactly what she didn't know she needed. I'm thrilled with this press. It is so solid and well built and functions great.

This is a beautiful 34 oz French press coffee maker that make great tasting coffee! It is a nice size and the functionality works extremely well! It is very easy to use and easy to clean as the disassembly and assembly is easy to do. The double layer filter works very well too. It is made with stainless steel and is very durable. The brew speed is fast and the handle is easy to hold as there's indentations so that it fits your hand better. A very good value for the price and would make a nice addition to any kitchen!

Pretty!!
I've not used it yet, but it is so pretty, and seems to be very high quality. I have another French press, and it's not the easiest way to make coffee, but you can definitely taste a difference in the quality of the coffee, so I'm excited to have one that is more aesthetically pleasing, and comes in a larger size than the one I have.
