Good quality, no plastic

I have the 12 oz small stainless steel and it's easy to clean. Very robust little French press. I double check the item for plastic parts and I found none. I went with this instead of more well known brands such as Bodum because this item is entirely metal. I specially didn't want any plastic to come in contact with hot water. I'm happy with the quality, it is just as it shows in the photos. Perfect for solo on mug coffee.

Excellent travel French Press or single cup maker

If you only drink one (large) cup per day, if you travel and NEED your coffee YOUR way (I mean - who's got time for hotel coffee or "hot dog water"?) then this is the French Press for you. I am a caffeine addict and this gets me through a day in style - it doesn't hurt that it makes a d*mn-fine cup of coffee too - very smooth. The insulated top and sides will keep your brew steaming hot for a while (haven't timed it yet - but after 30 min it was still near 200F). It is an ideal size for a generous single mug, or a shared 2 "normal" cups. It is very well made, operates smooth, has great filter screens, and is very easy to clean. THIS is my travel coffee mater (I can usually at least trust hotels to make hot water without messing it up too badly).

Great one mug French press.

Works as it should. Makes one mug of coffee. There’s a small learning curve to how much grounds to put in-you can easily over do it and then not have much coffee to pour. The stainless steel insulated walls do great in retaining the heat. Perfect for my one cup of great office coffee, because the supplied coffee at works is meh and the lack of cleaning of the carafes is concerning. This way, I get a fresh, hot cup of coffee. Cleans easily. Travels well-don’t have to worry about it breaking like glass. Treat yourself!

This Little Thing Is Awesome!

I've only been using this french press for 2 days. I have used it for both coffee and fresh herb tea. Both did really well. I was surprised at the fact that there was absolutely no grounds or leaf particulates left in my poured beverages. The construction of the french press is pretty solid for such a little container. The double wall construction is maybe not Yeti quality, but still keeps my liquids warm for right at an hour. Clean up is so easy ... unscrew, rinse, dry, reassemble. Keep in mind though, that with a press of this size you are only going to end up with at most an 8 ounce cup of coffee/tea at the end. That's all I wanted so I am happy. This will be so convenient to take camping, use when the power goes out, or use while traveling with hotel stays. If I had to find a negative, it would be that the filter press would go down just an 1/8 inch more, but it's really not an issue. Really good product for the money.

Strong Cup of Coffee on the Go (High Quality Parts)

I like the small size to have a good strong cup of coffee. Don't bother buying the canister (way too small except for teas leaves) and the case zipper broke right away. But the simple sturdy mechanics are great. Typically I like two large cups of coffee but I found this method/my amount works for just one,

Perfect one mug french press

Perfect one cup french press! I have used all sorts of coffee makers and many bialetti’s but never used a french press. I have never been interested in dealing with cleaning the glass. I got the four cup in stainless to try and it is great, so got this one for travel and just was visiting seattle for a week and this , plus my own container for pre ground coffee worked perfectly every morning. The container it comes with for coffee isn’t big enough for more than four scoops so will be used for something else as it’s a nice glass and stainless combo, but was useless for a weeks travel. This makes a perfect american mug of coffee and I am very happy with it!

I LOVE this pot for pour-overs!!!

Every morning I do a 2-cup pourover for my hubby & me, using a #2 Melitta cone. In the past I did this into a cylindrical glass tea pot that had the perfect diameter for my #2 Melitta cone, and also held two cups (barely). However, I like my coffee to be HOT and by the time I finished the two-cup pour-over while simultaneously making our breakfast, our coffee was usually on the warm side of hot. I also worried about breaking the glass tea pot (a wine glass once broke in my hand while I dried it, requiring 10 stitches to my thumb, and I never want to go through that again!).Somehow I stumbled upon this "Magicafe French Press Coffee Maker" and found it to be absolutely PERFECT for 2-person pourovers. Its diameter is perfect for our #2 Melitta cone, the stainless steel pot is double-walled and thus keeps my coffee HOT, and best of all, the pot holds 24 fl oz (3 cups) so my hubby and I can enjoy 12-oz cups of coffee rather than 8 oz! The handle stays cool to the touch even though the coffee in the pot stays hot. And...I don't have to worry about breaking the pot! I envision using this wonderful pot for the rest of our lives! I also like the heft and the pour design of the pot - it pours easily and cleanly, and balances nicely in my hand as I pour. And it is solid and sturdy - it would be difficult to knock this pot over by accident!A tip: I fill this coffee pot with hot tap water while I wait for our hot water kettle to come to a boil. This quick and easy warming seems to keep my coffee even hotter!I tried the French Press aspect of this coffee maker and it was fine, but I find French Press coffee to require too much cleanup compared to pour-overs with paper filters, or to an Aeropress. I use an Aeropress when making just one cup of coffee (say, for myself if hubby is out of town), but I LOVE this Magicafe French Press Coffee Maker for doing a pour-over for two people. It is PERFECT for us and I'm happy every time I use it!The French Press aspect is handy for making tea with loose tea leaves, though. Tea needs to steep for a few minutes so the French Press filter is handy for that (also requiring subsequent cleanup, but I find tea leaves easier to scoop out than coffee grounds).
