Fabulous Fabric strainer!
Kaching! Love the bag for its versatility in the kitchen. Not only does it strain out the burnt bits from your deep fryer, you can use it for your home brew, soup making, wine making, cold brew coffee, Greek yogurt… Like a reusable more durable cheese cloth! And on top of that super easy to clean!Imagine crossing a strainer with a cheese cloth - the fine mesh of the cheese cloth with the sieve that stays the same size when you compress it… you have the ability to squeeze out the last bit of liquids without worrying about the chunks squirting through.Other Applications I’ve found:Used it to strain out the mash (spent grains) of the home brew. Instead of several passes, we could do just one and squeeeeeeze the whey.Perfect for the after Thanksgiving (or Christmas) Turkey broth making - large enough volume and sturdy enough to handle straining the whole turkey and veg that cooked overnight. Avoids the skipping and skimming… just dump and go! I can see it used for sauce making as well.It also makes a grande batch of Greek yogurt or the super fancy crêmet d'Anjou. (If you’ve never… try. It. It’s a fluffy, no bake gorgeous cheesecake that takes three days to make and less than three minutes to consume. The holes are same if not smaller than our cold brew coffee strainer/filter/rumble jar. Going to find me a container and a jumbo grounds to use it on a batch of cold brew.

Almost too nice for fryer oil
At this price, I’ve been hesitant to use it for fryer oil because I’m worried I won’t be able to clean it well enough to continue reusing it. Damn nice quality though, I will probably use it to filter something that’s easier to clean than fryer oil. Perhaps, kombucha?

Mesh strains all the smallest little chunks of stuff
I got this so my husband can strain his obnoxiously large pot full of unnecessary oil so I can use my pot again. Its actually really huge. Like.. commercially huge. But the mesh does work really good, you just have to be careful when straining to not make a mess.

Overpriced, Fragile, and Slow, in my humble opinion.
*Update*I just wanted to update my review to be fair and added an additional star. I gave it another try and realized a couple of things. 1) This product does not work with with extremly dirty oil (Lots of flour and debris), 2) The oil goes through quickly so long as you don't have a lot of flour or conrstarch build up in the oil. I still stand by the fact that the product feels fragile. I also still feel that the asking price for this product is not equal to it's performance. But after cleaning another batch of oil using this filter back for the 2nd time, the oil drained nearly instanly and all of the large particles were successfully caught by the filter. My husband is British and now living in the U.S. with me. Because of that, he eats "chips" (French fries) as the main part of his meals every single day. To keep up with his love for fries, I have a pot of grease that stays on the stove indefinitely. However, oil isn't cheap, and after a couple of batches, crumbs from the potatoes start to accumulate. These crumbs can cause the oil to go rancid faster and stick to the food, burning and ruining the flavor.I've been trying different filtering methods to save on oil, so when I saw this product, I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The product includes a sturdy metal frame about the size of a commercial fryer basket, which makes me think it’s designed for restaurant use. A fine mesh bag attaches to the frame using buttons. For home use, I alternate between two 10-quart grease pots. While the frame is larger than the pot, the bag fits inside just fine. The mesh bag feels flimsy to me. The buttons seemed to strain from the very first use and don’t seem durable. I have serious doubts about how well the bag will hold up under repeated uses and washes. The bag material feels similar to screen-printing mesh, which doesn’t inspire confidence in its longevity. The strainer and bag technically work, but not efficiently. The oil drains very slowly, especially if there’s a lot of debris in it. Quick and efficient filtering is important to me, and this product doesn’t deliver on that front in my opinion. At over $80, this product simply isn’t worth the price. Given its lack of durability and slow performance, I can’t justify the high price tag. I can't make since of this being efficent in a commercial kitchen based on my personal experince in my residential kitchen. The quality, functionality, and cost don’t meet expectations, and I wouldn’t particularly recommend it, at least for residential kitchens.

Great for extending the life of cooking oil.
I have a 12L fryer so it takes a lot of oil to fill. Well for a household. So I want to extend the life of the oil for at least 10 uses before changing it. This oil filter kit does exactly that. When I cook breaded items or anything else that leaves small pieces, I like to filter the oil for the next use. The frame is strong and the large oil filter bag attaches securely. I wait till the oil has cooled to about the 100 degrees range and pour through the filter. Afterwards, clean up is easy with very hot water and soap. So far, this product is working as expected. Easy way to filter large amounts of oil.

I use it to finely strain lots of beverages and liquids and I can sanitize it in boiling water
The fryer filter bag comes with a large frame that I can set on top of my oversized pot to filter different types of liquids and fermented foods. The frame is made of stainless steel and can hold a lot of weight. The part of the frame that holds the filter bag is about 14 inches long and 9 inches wide. I can remove the bag, which is held by stainless steel buttons. I can filter out large amounts of tea herbs with it. I boil the herbs in a large pot and then pour the mixture over the filter bag—it's very simple. When I'm done, I rinse it off. For fermented foods, I can sterilize the bag in a pot with boiling water.

Fine mesh, sturdy material
This seems like a solid piece of kitchen equipment - the frame has decent welds and shrugs off being dropped onto a hard floor as if it had never happened. The filter material has a stiffness unlike fabric and more like a metallic mesh, except in this case it's some sort of plastic. It is indeed very easy to clean as suggested in the description, and retained no noticeable residue, staining, or scent after washing. The bag attaches to the frame via small metal snaps, holding it very securely.
