Great slicer for the price- worth it
So I bought this a while ago and used it for the first time last night to make potato slices. First great thing to mention is the cutting ability. it is SHARP!!!! I nearly took my finger off (i ended up slicing off my nail- makes for a good nail file I suppose!) with little more than a swipe. It does not take a lot of effort to cut anything, no matter which blade you use. (I have to mention here that I did have the potatoes soaking for about an hour and then refrigerated for a few days. I don't know how much that plays into the ease of cutting, but with the sharpness factor of the blades, cutting will be easy whether its completely raw or not.)Second thing to mention is the cleaning. When I first bought it I cleaned it straight out the box. It comes with a little brush to get into the blade sections so you're not ruining a dish cloth or your hands. That makes it easy to clean. It is dishwasher safe as well. Nothing about it has confusing little nooks where food can get stuck that can't be cleaned well, especially with the brush.Third thing to mention is the compartment. It can fit two medium-to-large potatoes after slicing. Once it gets full you will need to shuffle the compartment a little, because the food you just cut doesn't go down inside and will stay in the blade if it has no room inside the bin. Which means some of the last pieces i sliced were missing 1/4 of a piece. This is not a big deal to me, common sense tells you that if something is full the rest will have nowhere else to go, but it is worth mentioning. Overall, good space inside. The fourth thing to mention is ease of use. It is not a complicated piece of kitchenware, it's relatively easy to slide the blades into place. It is just a little difficult to take it off (mainly because I was careful not to cut myself, so it could have been user error) and I would suggest rinsing the top off before removing the blade, just to make it easier on yourself. It does still take a little strength to remove it- it's not as easy to take off as it is to put on, but the upside to that is that you can be completely sure the blade won't slide out or come off while in use. It's really secure. While on the topic of how secure it is, it has rubber on the bottom to keep it from sliding around on yout counter. Which is wonderfulyl necessary, especially considering how sharp the blades are. The design was well planned.Overall, it is a good investment. Nice amount of blades, two food holders (the big white one for sqash and cucumber and the small black one for potatoes and such) easy to clean, easy to use, nice compartment size. I really do reccomend this to anyone who's looking for a better-than-decent slicer. It gets the job done for sure, for a really really good price.

Good grater and spiralizer, but mandoline slices too thick
I like that this comes with different inserts for different applications. The spiralizer works great for making zucchini noodles. I found that in order to avoid getting really long noodles, I would pull the zucchini out every once in a while to break them off into shorter noodles. The tools that come with it to help hold the vegetables also work well. They keep your fingers safe, don't get sliced by the insert, and have enough holding strength with the prongs to allow you to keep cutting the veggies. The grater insert also works very well for grating cheese, carrots, etc. It's convenient that the noodles and gratings are caught in the container. My only issue with this product is that the mandoline slices things too thick and this can't be adjusted. I just measured a slice that came off it with some calipers at 0.2" thick. I expected much thinner, as I can easily cut much thinner than that by hand. Forget this mandoline if you're looking to make potato chips or anything else requiring thin slices. I guess it's a good thickness for veggies that would go in a soup.

Excellent tool, compact, effective and safe to use.
This Product has been excellent so far. I have had it for exactly one month and use it very often. The blades have kept their sharpness just as they came out of the box. It is not easy to try and feed your family vegetables and avoid empty starches and carbs. This mandoline makes it possible. A big bonus is that the package includes a safety glove. It is amazing. Impossible to cut through, thin enough that you do not feel it on your hand, giving you full controll of what you are doing. Takes the fear of cutting yourself out of meal prep. Washes very easy with a little mild dish soap.I have tried many tools and this madoline has substituted many bulky tools that used to take up counter and drawer space.Initially the blade attachments are hard to switch out but once you get a hang of it, it becomes quick and easy.I have previosly tried different spiralizers and none of them worked well. This spiralizer is positioned perfectly and is easy to keep stable. I am now able to spiralize a whole cucumber, carrot or zucchini in one swoop.ZUCCHINI: My zucchini noodles are amazing and my whole family enjoys them very much. The widths of the noodles is just perfect. You can check out one of my pictures to see how perfect they come out.Cutting a whole zucchini length wise into perfect thin slices was never easy and took great deal of time and effort. With this tool it takes seconds. Then I throw them on a griddle and in minutes I get a full bowl of perfect grilled zuchinni.CUCUMBERS: Slicing cucumbers whether with spiralizers or straight blade results in perfect slices and makes for a very appealing serving which screams pick me, pick me.POTATOES: So far I have made potato chips with the straight blade, and potato pancakes with the grater blade.ONIONS: The most amazing part of this is that the closed container traps the juices and cutting oions does not make you cry anymore. The onions come out perfectly thin to add to salads.CARROTS: First time in my life I was able to get my family to eat raw carrots which are not baby carrots. Even with baby carrots they would eat the skiny ones and leave the thick ones. With spirilizer tool now they have fun devouring the carrot noodles. The grater blades are also great to use for sautes.
