Nice, shiny mug with a message inspiring contemplation
I am not a fan of t-shirts and mugs with messages and I stick to plain, or add my own touch. But for some reason, the message on this mug spoke to me. I am not religious but rather a spiritual seeker of sorts, so for anyone who has dabbled in spiritual teaching will know that it is claimed that our true home is heaven, nirvana, bliss, sat-chit-ananda, love, pure consciousness and it can go by many names. But here's the thing: here and now are eternal and all there is in truth. So if we believe that heaven is a place we need to get to that isn't here, then we (the consciousness) are in full identification with the character we're playing. So for me, this mug symbolizes remembrance of home, or Self remembering, and each time I take a sip of coffee, I remember to look for my true nature, and I know that "I'm just here recruiting" part of the message is there to veil the heaven that can't be elsewhere. So I don't believe that part. Anyhow, for anyone on the awakening path, mug like this one can bring moments of clarity if used with that intention.Now for the mug itself: it is nice and shiny, the text is legible even from distance (or am I getting too far sighted?!), but it isn't centered on the side that's perpendicular to the handle, so I find the product photo not being accurate, because the text is closer to the no handle side and is more away from the handle than shown on product photo. You can clearly see that in first photo I am including; I aligned the handle with edge of the stool and made sure that edge is horizontal in the shot to show placement of the text. Message is printed on both sides so it can't be missed.The mug was very well packaged, with three foam padding inserts completely filling up the box, while the mug was wrapped in clear plastic bag. Therefore, no need to worry about this mug arriving broken.
