Perfect replacement to my glass snifters which have all met with accidental breakings. It's a bit larger than a standard snifter size but it's not at all egregious. The material is mid thickness so it has some durability without feeling heavy and cheesey. Great value for the money.
I really enjoy a brandy on a cold crisp winter evening. I have had several snifters over the years and every one of them has met an end as a hundred shards. Sooner or later it gets knocked off a table or dropped from a tray. When they break it's like the old glass Christmas ornaments.Not a problem with these clear polycarbonate snifters. First thing out of the box I dropped one on the floor and it gleefully bounced a few times. Next I tried with some water to the same effect.8 ounces is big but it gives you a great bell to accumulate the aroma which is the whole point.
For obvious reasons, I don't take glassware outside. Much of my barware, therefore, is acrylic (like Tervis mugs) and while they don't have the feel of glass, they are an excellent alternative. I had everything except snifters. A search turned up these and they are great. 16 oz, a nice sturdy base, and they don't sweat as much as a glass snifter does with a drink with ice cubes. When I unwrapped one, I thought it was cracked. There is a "line" from the rim to the base, but it wasn't a crack, but a result of the manufacturing process. I suppose it couldn't be avoided. It's visible but hardly an issue. No matter, I recommend these highly if you need an alternative to glass snifters (but of course if you use cognac, you can't heat it in the snifter). Want to buy 4 more but these are unavailable all of a sudden.
These glasses look good but don’t hold up. Very easy crack and leak😡😡
I have these in my RV because glass snifters are too delicate. These work fine. Hand wash and hand dry them (if you don't want water spots).
We use them all the time, mostly outdoors. No worries about breaking and they look good, too.
These are clear and don't have an edge or burr around the rim, which is good. They are thinner than I expected and the big issue was having a seam from top to bottom and back up to the top. This would be hard to remove without damaging the finish. I have never had such a seam on plastic cups before. These were a disappointment and I would not buy them again.
