Moderately sharp but a easy fix with a wet stone, for mid to small hands its easy to use but since I have large hands i need to adjust it better, don’t cut anything acidic or if you do wipe your blades off or risk your blades rusting very fast. A magnificent set of knives and a wonderful case it feels awesome and looks gorgeous, in my opinion a great set with minor bumps in it
I’m not a professional chef, but these are excellent knives in my opinion. Well made full tang and extremely sharp. They also hold their edge for a while so there is no need to sharpen them after every use. Great value for the money and they are also a beautiful set of knives. Wash and Oil them properly after each use and you will have no problem with rust. Although, I did notice if you leave the knives in the leather carrying case for about a day you can notice the metal start to change colors because the leather soaks up all the oil you have put on the blades. I would recommend a knife block but the leather case is nice to transport them in.
I purchased this set to sell for a small profit for my charity fund raiser. The knives are beautiful. So beautiful in fact that I decided to keep them for myself. BTW. I sell knives regularly for the charity. Just not this set. Many comments here say that they rusted. Yes they will if you don't know how to care for Damascus steel. You use them. You wash them. You dry them immediately. You oil them. You return them to the swede carrying case. Just a minute or two care for each knife is all that is necessary. The swede will wick away any moisture left after to care for them. Sharpen them if you know how or have them sharpened by a professional. If you do these things they will last longer than you.
Bought these for my executive chef as a gift. Handle material is nice, fits well in the hand. Blades are SHARP. So sharp, they cut right through the leather roll bag that was sent with the knives. That's a slight unforseen issue but overall great, worth every penny.
Buyers beware. These knifes are complete garbage. They are shipped covered in oil. And the reason being, is because they rust. Pure iron. I didn't even get the chance to use them because they literally rusted 6 hrs after opening the package.

They are very sharp, I feel like I got what I paid for. It was a gift for my husband and he really likes it. It comes with a pouch where he can put them and take them hunting.
