Very easy to clean

I have been using this for a couple of months now and really enjoy using this beater paddle. I don’t like to use the nylon plastic coated paddle that came with my Kitchen Aid. For me it is metal or nothing. I had a previous larger KA that I had an aluminum paddle for. It worked well and was lighter than this one. When I got this current Kitchen Aid I knew I would need to get a metal paddle. One quick search and I found this stainless steel one.This paddle is great. First off it is super easy to clean. No worries about tossing it in the dishwasher like an aluminum one. It fits perfectly mixing exactly as it should. The surface is very smooth and hard so food doesn’t stick in small scratches like an aluminum one either. As it is stainless, it is nice and shiny.The only downside is it is rather heavy compared to the plastic coated and the aluminum ones. Not really a big deal as the mixers have great strength but for an elderly person with weak hands it might be more challenging to slip on and off. Personally that is not an issue for me, but I can see some having a problem with the weight.If you have a Kitchen Aid that this will fit such as my 4.5 qt then I highly recommend it. Personally I think it is a big improvement over the coated and the aluminum ones that are available for other KA mixers.

Excellent product

Good quality stainless steel, fits my classic, 30 yr old stand mixer. My KitchenAid is used frequently and this is the the 3rd replacement beater. It’s a heavyweight with no coating to wear off, definitely worth the extra cost. Why did it take an alternative manufacturer to offer what KithenAid should have originally designed to sell with their mixers?! I’ve stirred up batter with this beater and it works very well. From all indications this is the last beater replacement I’ll ever need to purchase.Update: I’ve been using this beater for 5+ months now and it is still holding up very well. So very happy with this purchase. Not a problem that it cost a bit more than the coated variety beaters because this one will never need replacing!Update: Several years later, used frequently and beater is still in excellent condition! (With my previous plastic coated beaters I was looking for a replacement after 2 years of use. 😟)

Quality mixing paddle

I bought this stainless steel paddle for my kitchen aide 4 1/2 quart stand mixer that I’ve had since 1980. I was sick and tired of the enamel paddles as they always end up chipping. This stainless steel replacement paddle is very heavy duty and fit my mixer perfectly. It works great and clean up is easy as it can safely go in my dishwasher. I highly recommend it.

Fits my old KSM90 perfectly. Looks like it was a used return.

I bought two brands. QAP and Geesta. The Geesta fit perfectly which I think may be due to the shape and size of top of the paddle where it connects to the mixer spindle. It's the same as KitchenAid brand. The QAP had a looser fit, seemed to slip at high speeds, and could not be adjusted to pass the dime test. The Geesta performed smoothly and quietly even at the highest speed...no knocking noises! It also easily passed the dime test. My only complaint so far is that the finish on the paddles was etched as if it had been used quite a bit. In the pic you can see the QAP has a smooth, shiny, high polish. Which is what I expect on a new item. Maybe the etching is just the finish on the Geesta but it seems unlikely a company would take the extra step to do that. And no it's not a matte finish. It looks finely scratched all over. I kept it only because I needed it that day. Still, it performs very well on my old KSM90. Worth a a few extra bucks for the perfect fit.

Better than the original!

I purchased this beater to replace the name brand one due to the white plastic coating flaking off of the metal. I found this for a great price and couldn't be happier. Attaches to the mixer easily and comes off easily too! Easy to clean, washes very well and works just as good as the original. I have peace of mind with this being all metal and do not have to worry about coating flaking and getting into my food.
