Fine for a fiver-

Wooden tops were COMPLETELY dried out on arrival. However, I took a lot of time to oil them with food grade mineral oil (same stuff I use on my cutting boards) — gave them a whole week to drink it all in — and they came out gorgeous. I have been using them for months now without need to re-oil yet. Ridiculous price for how much messy work I had to put into them after delivery to make the wooden tops look and function as advertised, but, that said, I’d probably buy these jars again, knowing I could fix the tops myself. Seal is sufficient: seems snug enough, but not difficult to pull off — I know I’m taking a gamble that it’s really the food grade silicone as advertised, but FWIW I was able to remove the seals to oil the tops and get them back on without too much struggle and with them snapping back into shape, so that’s a good sign…). Glass has a nice, heavier feel, but it’s still easy to pick up one-handed with candy or nuts in it. Would begrudgingly recommend if you must have a wooden top textured-glass jar and have to buy online — just be prepared to do a little fixing up!

Pretty and easy to open

These look great as part of my coffee station. And they are very sturdy. My cat knocked one off the counter and it didn't break. The contents did spill but the glass is solid. The lids seem to be secure and easy to get off at the same time. I would order these again.
