Descriptions says, "Not compatible with 58mm portafilters, but mine came with 58mm holder
Came with the best manual I've seen with any product in a long time. Very clear and complete, step by step. I'm not sure why the Amazon description has a warning saying it does not fit a 58mm portafilter, because my manual says it does. And it came with two portafilter holders, one for 51mm and a second one for 58mm. Those are the devices that hold your coffee in your espresso machine. This grinder dumps the coffee right into the portafilter, which avoids having to spoon it out of the cup (you get the cup anyway) and into the filter holder. You just have to experiment to see how long it needs to grind to fill your portafilter, then adjust the setting to that amount of time. It does warn that when you set the grind ring to determine how fine it will grind your coffee, if you have dark beans you don't want to adjust it any finer than 15. Because below 15 the oils in the dark roasted beans can get sticky and clog the burr. 15 is still pretty fine, good for espresso. The manual walks you through the various grinds. I was really pleased considering the price was lower than most other burr grinders.

Espresso grind is perfect
This grinds perfectly for espresso. I bought this for my new espresso machine and use "already ground" coffee which is placed in the grinder's hopper and then ground using the espresso setting on the hopper. I'm sure it'll grind regular beans with no trouble. The machine is easy to clean, easy to use and doesn't take up much counter space.

Good size, good coffee
Perfect size for one or two, brews quickly, turns off itself, nice and small. If you pick up the handle at a slight angle, it requires only one hand(referring to other reviews), and the top can be done one handed by pushing down on the top just behind the lift tab with your fingers, lifting with your thumb. It’s not rocket science.

This is NOT a four cup brewer
Summary:1- Four cups advertised is misleading. It makes 17-18 ounces. That may be four cups for some, but it's not for me.2- Brewing is slow. With the carafe filled to "4 water", you can expect to wait about 5-7 minutes. I didn't time it. It's just slow.3- Clean up is tedious. This is almost a deal breaker for me.4- Although I have not yet tried a full brewing with 4 scoops, the weakness of 3 scoops doesn't give me "warm fuzzies" that 4 scoops will lead to a cup that has a strong flavor. Having to brew 6 "cups" of water to get a "strong flavor", or so they say, as slow as it is, is not worth it.For the price paid, if you drink small cups of coffee, and you don't mind mild flavor, it's decent for the price. Definitely not worthy of 4 or 5 stars in MY opinion. It got a 3. The old adage "You get what you pay for" is true in this case.Details:When I was looking for 4 cup brewers, that is what I searched on in Amazon. This one very clearly, and in very unambiguous terms, indicates it's a four cup brewer. I filled the carafe to the maximum value, which is the "4 water" mark on the carafe. It makes about 17-18 ounces total. Now, I guess if you drink 4 ounce cups of coffee, then yeah, this is a four cup brewer. I drink my coffee 18 ounces at a time. A 4 ounce cup of coffee would just annoy me. Honestly, I don't have a problem with brewing one cup at a time, but advertising it as 4 cups, without being clear on how much they consider a cup, is a bit misleading. Also, it is rather slow. I didn't time it, but it was at least 4-5 minutes to brew the 17-18 ounces, and probably more like 6-7 minutes. It's designed to keep the coffee hot, so if you start the brewer, and then wait for it to finish, it'll feel like an eternity. I'd recommend finding something else to do while you wait. The filter gets really nasty from the grounds. You have an option to use the included permanent filter, or you can use paper filters, but you should not do both. I found the included permanent filter to be adequate to the task as far as keeping grounds out of the carafe. However, cleanup is not great. You basically have to tap the filter against the side of your garbage can to knock them loose. You then have to rinse the filter to loosen the remaining grounds, let the water drain through the wire mesh of the filter, and then dump the remaining grounds out. I rinsed it thoroughly after doing this to ensure I got them all out. If you have a septic tank, you'll want to be very careful about this. You really don't want grounds in your septic tank (not an issue for people with "city" water).I filled the included scooper 3 times (leveled flat ) with coffee grounds. The coffee was a bit weak. If you like your coffee strong, the most you can use is 4 scoops. They did say you can use 1.5 "cups" of water to get a stronger flavor. That would mean filling the water to max once, brewing it through, then filling to the halfway marker and brewing that through. Due to the slow speed, that would quickly become frustrating.

Great Home Grinder
Easy setup, outstanding instructions, solid well made unit. Yes, it accepts 58mm portafilter. Lots of adjustments for various grinds and it's quiet - well much quieter than my last unit... Very pleased with this purchase. A+++++

Works, extremely inconvenient.
The coffee grinder part of the machine does the job, but there are many things that just are off. First the coffee grinder goes in to some sort of sleep mode when left plugged in and you are unable to change the settings or start the machine without unplugging it and re plugging in which it takes a 20 seconds for it to reset before you can plug it back in. When you plug it back in the memory is lost and you have to change it back to the setting that you want. Another thing that is minor I got it for the espresso holder and mine unfortunately doesn’t fit correctly with either size attachment which requires me to bend it a little to get it in and out all the time. The coffee grinder also likes to hold onto grounds and drop them at the base after you use it so you eventually get a little pile of grounds after multiple uses. The coffee grinder works it is just extremely inconvenient to use.
