These place mats are very attractive, with a coating which would prevent a little liquid from ruining them, but not waterproof. They are disposable which worked well for Thanksgiving.

I have consistently ordered these placemats and highly recommend them as a valuable addition to any kitchen pantry.
Would be ok for a one-time use party. I was hoping to use for a craft project adding fall objects around the edges, but they were not heavy enough for that.
