Love GIR utensils and this spoon is terrific!

Another great silicone utensil from GIR!I have many and this is a terrific addition to my collection.The color however is a little on the pale blue-grey side. I was hoping it would be more grey than blue because the darker grey and black ones are sold out.No matter it’s a great spoon and I may buy another as a backup. Some silicone utensils have a very soft bendy end as the inner substrate stops short of the end. This makes the utensil far more prone to breakage. This spoon is firm to the outer edges and will last a very long time with care.My tip for keeping your silicone tools for years is don’t leave them in pots of hot liquid during cooking. Stir then use a spoon rest. Silicone does well with short bursts of high heat but letting them sit at high temperatures for an extended period of time will dramatically shorten their life (chipping will happen quickly as the silicone will become brittle)If this review has been helpful to you, please click. This spoon is the perfect size. The long handle can sit in the pan and rest on the edge and not get hot. it is sturdy and does not scrape nonstick pans. And you can throw it in the dishwasher! What else could you ask for?
