I have been wanting one of these, but because I’m very frugal with the amount of utensils I allow in my kitchen I held off. For me less is better. But I did finally purchase it, and I love it because it makes breaking up the meat in a pan so very much easier. Wish I got it sooner. This brand is wonderful and the chopping edge works very well when it comes in contact with your pants. It’s made of a material that will not damage your surfaces
This is a great alternative to plastic utensils, which are terrible for your health. This does the job easily, is super easy to clean (dishwasher!), and, is super useful.
Was actually going to return this meat chopper because it seemed too big. Husband used it and said it was great- and it is! Little effort required for quick results. And another great thing is it’s perfect for scraping the sides of the pan/dish and gently stirring soup without smashing the ingredients! Gotta get one!
I've been replacing my black plastic cooking utensils. For many years, I'd been happy with the Pampered Chef Mix and Chop, but its black plastic head meant it needed to go. I decided to try this silicone replacement. Having used the PC chopper for years, the GIR was startlingly large (as other reviews have noted), which was likely magnified by the 4 "blades" versus 5 that I was used to. The five blades made it easier to break up ground meat in a more concentrated area. The 4 blade design suffers for that, but, with such a large head, it covered a lot more surface area. That makes it a wash. I'd like this chopper even more if it was a 5 or 6 blade design, which would make this one even more efficient. The whole utensil is very sturdy and easy to clean.
