Great! Wish it was a bit lighter
For the longest time, I was stuck between using a small silicone spatula (it was gifted to me) and a large wooden spatula, because both of these were amazing in their own ways and I had a hard time finding anything close to good enough to replace either or both. The GIR Silicone Spatula Turner came close!So far, I have used it for all sort of stir-fry dishes and pan-frying. If the scooping part was better, I'd only use this spatula!Pro:- easy to clean- things don't stick on when in-use- ease of swiveling it around a pan (when stirring and trying to get underneath the dish, this spatula bends and curves so well!) due to the front/mouth part of the spatula is very flexible)- a good width (although for the large pan I use, I could go with a spatula with a wider mouth)- material seems very durableCon:- the width could be a bit wider for my use (my opinion)- in use, the handle had a heavier feel to it- not the best for scooping (other spatulas that have a but more of a curve (like a spoon) or have the edge on either side of the scoop stick out more were better at scooping things out of the pan

Works well as a spatula, OK for a turner, all silicone and high quality, white color is NOT white

I ordered the black color and it is black.Note that if you order ANY of the GIR products in a white color, the color is NOT white (i.e. either the studio white OR white color is not white, it is a LIGHT GRAY----no matter what product type).This product works great as a spatula but is just OK as a turner as it is not a solid as most flippers/turners are but it does work well otherwise. I would not use it for flipping burgers or chicken in a pan. I love it for cooking eggs and hashbrowns in a pan as well as for stirring up ground beef and ground sausage in a pan along with vegetables and tomato sauce.

So much better than plastic
I actually had purchased this silicone spatula in the past for another location because I had melted the plastic one that was there. The plastic spatula prior to this just couldn't handle a hot frying pan the way this one can. The spatula is high quality, a good size for normal use and because of the silicone, it's comfortable to hold and use. I'm not worried about accidentally melting it on a hot frying pan.Flipping food is pretty easy, especially when you spray the flat of the spatula with some oil. Because of the soft edge, it's not very good for scraping but that's not really the purpose of this silicone utensil.I was actually impressed enough with this that when I needed another spatula, I came back and bought another one of these and it's mini version as well.
