This works very well. The best part is that it's made of silicone, which is dishwasher safe, heat resistant, and get this...the most beautiful thing about it is...it's non-stick. With my previous nylon smasher, when I would attempt to chop ground meat, it would stick in the corners and edges, and I had to use another kitchen utensil to scrape that crap off. I don't know about you all, but that's additional work. And when I'm cooking, I don't need additional work.
