The cup of this ladle, being it is made of silicon, was so flexible I could not believe how it fits the curve at the bottom and side of a pan, scrapes the sides and bottom, and yet it acts like a ladle. My wife just loves this ladle and you don't have to worry it will scratch the non-stick coating of a non-stick pan. Sturdy upper handle. Great product.
Super durable, plus flexible wall on the cup means you can get soup out of the corners of the pot with ease. Has lasted through many years of dishwasher cleaning (top shelf) and remained in good as new condition while utensils from other manufacturers have degraded over time. While it may be a little pricier than the offerings at your local bargain kitchenware store, it’s well worth the investment if you want a good tool that won’t need to be replaced in another 1-2 years.
The silicone doesn't stain and cleans easily. The silicone at the edge is soft so it conforms to the shape of your pot to easily scoop out the last ounces of liquid from your pots. The edge has a flared lip around the brim so liquids pour smoothly out and not dribble down the underside of the ladle. It even has measurements inside the ladle to make precise serving.
Came misshapen and we’ve used it and put through the dishwasher twice now and still looks funky but does its job.
I have a zojirushi rice cooker that has a nonstick inner pot. When cooking porridge or oatmeal, this ladle is the best tool to scoop everything out. It works like a “curved” spatula as the soft edge of the ladle conforms to the surface of the pot perfectly. I purchased the larger size, ultimate, and found that it is a little too large. The smaller size one is a perfect fit.
It is large enough to handle any serving need. Firm handle. The back 3/4 of the bowl closest to the handle is firm. The upper 1/3 of bowl of the dipping ladle is much thinner silicone and more flexible than I expected. Not sure if there is a purpose in the bowl being different thicknesses and having different flexibility. I will follow up with an update after using the ladle.
This thing is awesome! I use it for soups and pancake/waffle batter. The flexible end works like a spatula to get out every last bit. I always reach for this ladle first and should probably get another one.
