Simple, functional, and lovely!

Very well made butter keeper! I like the extra large wooden base. I do not use one pound blocks of butter, but it holds two sticks of regular butter perfectly. After reading another review, I braced myself for possible odors from the Arcadia wood, but fortunately mine was completely odor free. To be safe, I put the base and heavy duty glass lid in our dishwasher (top rack) upon arrival. It came out great, no problems washing in dishwasher. I chose to cut a parchment liner to create a barrier between the wood and my butter sticks. I’m certain it’s not necessary, but I’d like to use the product a bit longer before I place the butter directly in contact with the wood surface… just to give me time to get used to using it, and basically to make sure the wood/finish won’t peel or have issues. (I’m sure it will be fine)It’s a very nice butter keeper, suitable for farmhouse decor or a simplistic modern kitchen. Highly recommended.

The butter dish I never knew I needed 🧈

I'm a home health aide and I assist a 96 year old ((crazy right??)) little lady. She absolutely loves her real Irish butter and she has the cutest butter dish. While I've seen butter dishes before, I never really appreciated their function until helping her lol. I never realized how convenient it was to not wait for the butter to melt on my toast or having to microwave beforehand lol. So, clearly, as soon as I seen this one, I jumped to order it!I will have to say my butter dish is better than hers because so can fit a large stick or 2 sticks in mine....and we do use quite a bit of butter! I was particularly scared that the lid wouldn't be snug & actually keep air out but I was mistaken! I believe the lid is so heavy it helps. This better dish is absolutely fantastic. It easily holds two sticks of butter which is great for parties or for the holidays. The lid fits securely into the wooden tray and is easy to remove.
