Great butter dish! I've replaced my beautiful plastic butter dish with this significantly better -- and equally beautiful -- glass dish. I'm trying to eliminate plastics from as many of my storage of foodstuffs as I possibly can. Glass just gives me better peace of mind.And as an added note, the packaging was amazing!!
Actually bought this to use for canned cranberry sauce, and it does a nice job.

I bought this butter dish to replace one that I broke in a rented apartment. It’s the perfect size for a “European“ sized slab of butter. The top of the cover says “BUTTER”. Which cute (as long as you don’t want to use it fur cheese!) The top fits perfectly to the bottom. My only complaint is that the top, being tapered, is rather difficult to grip. Especially if your hands are not completely dry. A welcome change to the design would be a rougher texture on the sides of the lid, or possibly even indents for your fingers and thumb.
