Great addition to a home bar
Margaritas on a Summer night or weekend are a nice way to kick back and enjoy the weather. However, after trying to coat the rim of my margarita glasses with salt and sugar using a variety of plates and bowls, I decided not to bother anymore. While using bowls for coating the glass rim never worked well, using plates could be satisfactory, but the coating was never nice enough to make it worthwhile.This lightweight multi-tiered glass rimmer gives new life to my margarita process. It is made entirely of reasonably heavy-duty plastic, and each tray opens from a single pivot point to form a 3-tiers (Juice/salt/sugar). Once opened, the unit is stable and not prone to tipping. The juice tray comes with a sponge in the tray to uniformly coat the rim prior to adding salt or sugar. I feel that I can now prepare glasses with a professional look on the rim. The plastic is easily cleaned and can be hand washed (which I would recommend doing prior to using) and dried easily. Since there are trays for both sugar and salt, your guests will have the options for how they would like their glass to be rimmed, and you can vary types of beverages at your discretion. Realistically, you can ignore the labels and choose to only use salt or sugar in the trays should you have varied blends.Clean-up is easy as well; a simple rinse and dry and the unit can be folded back into the closed position and put away. While you can opt to keep the ingredients in the unit, you may find that humidity may affect the ingredients over time. For the short term, it wouldn’t be a problem, but since we don’t make margaritas all that frequently, I am planning on cleaning it after each use.

Better packaging could have made my experience perfect, but I'm disappointed
I really needed this Notana Glass rimmer with 3 compartments, one sponge and cocktail salt, sugar and lime/lemon juice for the best margaritas money can buy, but what I got was a scratched up outer shell with a chip on the bottom layer. First, let me say, in theory this rimmer is perfect, but I wish it had been wrapped securely to prevent the mishap I received. Although it is still usable, I would have preferred a better wrapped item that doesn't look used/old/damaged. The rimmer has three layers, each as described above and the sponge is included in the juice layer. The three compartments close under the scratched top for easy storage. I love the rimmer for the home bar in making restaurant/bar margaritas for home entertainment. I think the price advertised is a good price but I wanted a best product a customer should receive. My recommendation for purchase is mute based on the product I received.

Great rimmer set
I think that this rimmer is great because the trays can be closed in. I have filled the trays generously which have allowed to make a thicker almost band like rim. I do really like that it can close within itself and has a lid. It comes pre-assembled and is easy to clean. To store it, I removed the sponge and dried out the top tier, and I placed the unit in a fridge in a gallon sized storage bag to keep any fallout contained. I do like that the pieces interlock well and I don't have to worry about it coming unhinged and flinging ingredients everywhere.
