Awesome!
I bought this for my son for his apartment. It’s incredible! It’s heavy, and just so well made! We have a little cheap plastic one here at home and now he has the Cadillac of splatter covers! Definitely recommend.

This is now the third glass/silicone microwave cover I’ve tried and the first one that actually meets my needs. The others I’ve tried were either cheaply made, too tall for my built-in microwave, or had plastic parts mixed in with the glass and silicone. This cover is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for, and it also looks great whether it’s fully open or collapsed.First, the size is perfect. It fits completely over an 8” salad plate and comfortably on top of the rim of a 12” dinner plate without resting on the food. It’s also both tall enough to cover all of my bowls, but not so tall that I can’t put it over the bowl in my microwave. One thing that’s overlooked by similar products is the ceramic screw that keeps the handle on. THANK YOU for using ceramic and not plastic. I would think that would be a given for a company making a non-plastic cover, but it was harder to find than expected. And from cleaning to use, everything functions perfectly. The instructions say it can be washed in the dishwasher, but I always wash it by hand and it’s no problem. The silicone also makes it easy to grip, unlike others, and the ceramic screw is easy to remove and reattach for cleaning. The thickness of both the glass and silicon seems perfect to ensure heat is distributed evenly, and the small vent holes at the top allow steam to escape when in use.I highly recommend this microwave cover and have since purchased a second for my mother so she can get away from her plastic one!
clean)I didn’t think I needed a “nice” microwave splatter cover until I got this one, but honestly I’m glad I did. The glass and silicone design feels way more solid than the cheap plastic covers I’ve used before, and it does a really good job keeping the microwave clean without trapping food or steam in a weird way.The 10.5” size works well for most of my everyday plates and bowls, and it’s tall enough that it doesn’t smash down onto the food (which has happened to me with shorter covers). The handle is also a big plus because it’s easy to lift off without touching the hot glass. What I liked:• Keeps splatter under control (especially with sauces and leftovers)• Tempered glass feels strong and higher quality• Silicone ring helps it sit securely• Dishwasher safe, so cleanup is simple• Tall enough for most meals without touching the foodThings to know:• Since it’s glass, you still need to be careful with temperature changes (I let it cool before rinsing)• It’s heavier than a basic plastic cover, but that’s also why it feels sturdyPackaging:Mine arrived in good shape and I appreciated the simple recyclable packaging. It didn’t feel overdone, but it still protected the cover well.Overall: If you’re tired of flimsy microwave covers that warp or don’t cover enough, this one is a good upgrade. I use it constantly and my microwave stays way cleaner.
This is a a different type of microwave splatter cover than the ones I have used in the past, which were all plastic. The Mikro has a glass top with 2 vent holes and silicone sides with multiple holes for venting. You have to put the handle on with the provided ceramic screw, which was not an issue. The cover can be raised to be taller or used at its shorter height as needed. It is not large enough to fit over a full-sized plate, but it does sit on the edges so it still works great. It helps keep the microwave clean and is easy to take in/out of the microwave as needed. It feels like a nice quality product, but I cannot speak to its longevity at this point, such as how robust the silicone will be after a lot of usage. It is pricier than many other splatter covers, but no doubt that is due to the glass top. The last plastic one we had somehow melted and made a huge mess, so I am happy to try something different. It is dishwasher safe which makes it easy to clean, and even hand-washing is easier because of the glass. It's hefty and looks great, but more importantly it is doing a great job. Highly recommend!
I’ve been using splatter screens in my microwave for years—ever since my kids were little, and now I’m retired. We always used the classic plastic splatter screens with vent holes, and honestly, those things last forever. Ours were still going strong, but we recently decided to reduce our use of plastics. So the old screens went to the thrift store, and we replaced them with a glass splatter screen (also from Mikro Innovations). But can you really have only one splatter screen? When I saw this one offered, I felt like it belonged in our kitchen too.Now we have two screens, and they’re quite different. Our original screen is essentially a glass dome with a silicone handle on top. This new foldable screen not only gives us a second option, but it’s also more versatile. It’s primarily made of silicone with a glass top, and the silicone folds down flatter for easy storage, then pops back up when you’re ready to use it. It’s a clever and practical design. This splatter screen has plenty of steam vents around the sides and is easy to clean with soap and water—or you can simply toss it in the dishwasher. The gray color is neutral and blends nicely with just about any kitchen décor.I do think it’s a bit pricey, but the quality makes it worth it. It does a great job keeping the inside of the microwave clean and should last for many years to come.
