A very nice set

These glass containers are really nice, I was impressed as I unpacked them. The glass is thick and durable. Although they can be used in a microwave, I wouldn't use them in an oven. The 32 oz is a great amount of capacity room. They are very functional for everything, not just for soup. Can use them for a bowl to eat from and to store and freeze food in them. They have a separate ring in the covers for a good seal. I noticed that the bowls are slightly not quite exactly square. The covers seem to fit only one way. If you turn the bowls another way on another side, the covers don't snap right on. The covers do need to be pushed down (on the right side) until they grab and snap on. Then the clips will snap down. So if you find that a cover doesn't go on just right, turn the bowl to the next side. This is not a big problem, these are a great set of bowls. It's nice that they come in a set of six. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.

Good Product with a Couple Issues

The vertical profile of these containers makes them very suitable for storing or freezing soup. Most other brands are horizontal. Unfortunately, the advertised volume of 4 cups (32 oz) isn't even close to reality. I filled these with containers with 3 cups of soup (24 oz) with one inch of space at the top for expansion in the freezer. My other gripe is about the venting flap, which is really not needed and a point of failure for leaking.
