High quality set!

These are the nicest food storage containers I have ever had. There are three sizes in the set, offering good options for your leftovers or cooking needs. The smallest holds 23 1/2 ounces, the middle size holds 50 ounces, and the large one will hold 80 ounces (10 cups!). The containers themselves are a durable, oven safe glass that are also microwave safe. The lids are tempered glass, have really good silicone seals, and are safe in the oven up to 400°. There is a vent in each lid to open when using in the microwave. The seals are so good that I found I need to have the vent open when placing the lid on the container and sealing it. There is an audible whoosh of air that comes through the vent when you press the lid down. If storing food at that time, simply close the vent. All of the pieces are dishwasher safe. I feel like the only thing that would improve these containers would be handles. The “manual” that came with the set has a recipe for Easy Bake Pasta. It’s a recipe that involves mixing marinara sauce with water, adding dry pasta to it, and microwaving it. The recipe itself is not a factor in this review. Honestly, it’s pretty boring, lol! But I decided to try it just to test out the container. I’m generally not one to cook dry pasta like that, but it definitely puts food on the table quickly. Anyway, my point is this: I followed the directions exactly. It instructs you to use the medium size container. The instructions are to microwave it for 15 minutes, stirring halfway through. When I opened the microwave after 7 1/2 minutes, the lid had lifted under pressure. The steam vent was open. I resealed the container leaving the steam vent open, and finished microwaving for another 7 1/2 minutes. After that time, the lid had lifted again. I surmise that it was due to the high volume of food in the container. As the pasta cooks, it swells. The volume of food in the container was right up to the seal. I really think the lid lifted because the container was so full and there was a lot of pressure as it heated up. Note that the contents did not overflow. I feel that if I had ignored the instructions to use the medium container, and had used the large one, this may not have happened. Also note, that the tomato based sauce stained the silicone seal. It’s not a big deal, and almost expected. It doesn’t affect the product’s performance. In closing, two thumbs up.

Deep Functional Glass Containers

We try to use as little plastic as possible in our house, so we’ve gone through a lot of glass storage containers from different brands. This set of 3 impressed me right away with the size and dept. They are deeper than a lot of the glass containers I already own, which makes them more useful for real leftovers (soups, pasta, bigger portions, etc.), not just small snacks. My favorite feature is the vent in the lid. That’s always been one of my pain points when reheating food, and having a built-in steam release makes a big difference (plus it helps prevent that annoying vacuum seal feeling when you’re trying to remove the lid). The lids have tight seal la but they don’t use the tabs for sealing like my other containers. For this reason, you have to make sure they are sealed. The only small downside is the glass feels a bit thinner compared to some of my heavier-duty glass containers, but it hasn’t been an issue so far. They’ve also held up in the dishwasher the same way my other glass containers do.The included pamphlet has a recipe for pasta. I suppose they could be used for pasta but I’m not sure of the temperature rating. These ended up being a really nice surprise. The glass may be a little thinner than some of my other sets, but the deeper shape and the vented lids made up for the difference.

Truly nesting (space saving) – heavier than expected

This set of borosilicate containers has been such a great find. The glass is thicker and sturdier than that of my borosilicate pitchers, and the containers feel solid.I was slightly concerned, since the bottom of the containers had slight ridges, but customer service quickly told me that it is only cosmetic and has no impact on the performance. An online search confirmed this, and it seems to be quite common with this type of glass.I really like that these containers are truly nesting, including the lids. It is so much more space-saving than stacking containers and then needing to deal with the lid storage separately. We have used all of them so far for food storage and have reheated food in the microwave without any issues. It is very nice to have sealable vent holes in the lids, since it helps when venting is needed, but makes them airtight when closed.I have also used the large one to make lasagna, and the container held up very well in the oven. It is really nice to be able to bake food in them, let it cool off, tightly seal it with the included lids, and store it in the refrigerator.Based on the quality, they should last for a long time and are fairly priced.

Very nice glass containers

Have been slowly transitioning my plastic food storage containers to glass, and most of the glass containers I have still have those plastic, snap on lids. These are awesome as they are glass lids rimmed with silicone, and the lids fit on very tightly. In fact, I can't remove the lids without opening the vent on top, and it needs to be open as well when you push the lids down into place, to allow the displaced air to escape. These are so functional, and all three sizes that come in the set are very useful. I've used the glass containers in my toaster oven with no issue. My only issue, which is now seemingly resolved, is that the silicone on the lids really smelled like weird chemicals when they came out of the box, and even after handwashing them. However, the next day after they had sat out on the dish rack to dry, the smell had completely dissipated. I was concerned as I've never smelled that on silicone before, but I feel much better as I cannot smell anything now.
