These heart straws draw a lot of attention
I ordered these Shatter Resistant, Red Heart Glass Straws from seebemxx because of their novelty. We use straws with a lot of beverages in our household and these looked fun. They did not disappoint. The first time I put them out for use, it was such a surprise for the family. The children had fun sucking on the straws to fill and empty the hearts over and over again.The straws are very well made with nicely polished ends so there are no sharp edges anywhere on the straw. The glass is thick-walled and completely clear except for the bright red heart. This construction gave me the confidence to allow our children to use them. Of course, they got the warning to be careful because they are made of glass. The inside diameter is a bit small, so the straws does not work as well for very thick beverages such as smoothies and shakes. They are also a bit shorter than I expected, after looking at the photos on the Amazon page.These straws are easy to clean and mostly required just a thorough rinse to remove all of the beverage residue, but the brushes that were included in the package did a good job in loosening the stubborn debris. The brushes cannot reach all areas of the interior of the heart section, but so far, they have always rinsed clean. They have also been through the dishwasher a few times and they come out looking brand new.Overall, we are very happy with our new straws. They are made well and fun to use, but we wish that they were bigger on the inside diameter and a few inches longer.
