The practicality of this feature adds to the overall appeal of the tea cup.One observation I made is that when the lid, infuser, and body touch, there is a grinding sound akin to grinding teeth. While this is a minor drawback, I believe the design could be enhanced by adding silicone around the strainer to prevent the glass components from grinding against each other.In conclusion, I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase, and if you're in search of a single-cup tea infuser, this is definitely worth considering. This Beautiful Glass Tea Cup Totally Changed My Views on the "Technology" of Brewing Tea!
I was exceedingly hesitant to purchase the "Pure & Easy Glass Tea Cup" because it struck me as a step back from my electric tea bottle -- but boy was I wrong! The only reason I decided to try something else was because my electric tea bottle had always leaked from every crevice, allowed unacceptable amounts of tea leaves from the steeping chamber into my tea, and always ended up delivering only about three-fourths of the amount of water I'd added.The Pure & Easy Glass Tea Cup is beautiful to look at. It's a three-piece set comprised of the cup, steeping chamber, and lid, which also serves as a coaster for the steeping chamber. All three components of this product are constructed from clear "high quality borosilicate glass" that is slightly gray in color. This type of glass is both durable and "resistant to thermal shock" so it can be used for both hot and cold drinks!There's something rather new-age looking about this not-so-new "technology." And even the handle is lovely with it's narrow but slightly wider than usual grip accommodation. It's BPA-free and "free from harmful chemicals" as well. I almost returned it when I saw the steeping chamber because there are no obvious openings at the bottom. It was only after watching the video that I realized it was more than capable of keeping leaves out of my tea because of the microscopic-sized openings! And the "coaster" provided can also be used as a cover for the cup thus helping to keep the tea hot.The only thing I was I found disappointing was that there's no "sippy hole" option for this setup. I'm a longtime fan of thermoses and mugs from which one may cover and sip from. Nonetheless, because of all of the plusses of this glass tea cup, I'm good! And one of the things I most appreciate is that the steeping chamber for this tea cup, unlike the steeping chamber for my tea bottle, is 200% easier to clean. I love it!

Easiest tea making cup ever
I got 2 of these at the same time for myself and the person I take care of. I used them the day I got them and WOW what an easy way to steep and diffuse teas. Every section is made of strong glass. I just put my dried teas in, heated the water in my new tea pot that I got on here, then poured the boiling water over the tea and into the cup, and put the lid on and came back in about 20 minutes and it was perfect for drinking. 👌
