DEFINITELY worth the money!!! I debated between this product and the electric one that is twice the cost of this product. I’m a tech girlie so of course, I was leaning more towards the electric one. However, I’m so so glad I didn’t as several people were reporting issues with missing pieces or malfunctions further down the line of use. With this manual system I can guarantee longevity of my product. EVEN PULLING THE AIR OUT MANUALLY WITH THE PUMP LEAVES THE BOWL, AIRTIGHT, LIKE STICKING TO THE PUMP, WHILE HOLDING IT ABOVE THE COUNTER TIGHT! Is it a little more time consuming, yes, but for the price you can’t beat the results of fresh food, for a longer period of time. Just considerate it a re-investment of your time and an even better investment of your money!⚠️The deduction of one star came from the sous vi bags. They are still great, however air starts to seep back into them through the suction hole after about a week of storage. Specifically one week for moist food two weeks for dry food Fluids don’t leak out so that’s great for fridge purposes, just air creeps back in. I say the bags are STILL GREAT because this is only a minor problem for long-term storage such as fruit or dry-aging, but most likely you’ll use the product before the air seeps back in.REFERENCE✅: I let my husband choose a pack of strawberries from Sam’s and he failed to check the bottom of the pack and just judged the top for freshness. At home when I began to clean the berries, I noticed there were several moldy ones at the bottom. After removing the rancid, strawberries and trimming the infected ones, I used the storage bowls for the remaining berries. After a week, they still looked beautiful and tasted great. This was even after opening the bowl 2 to 3 times to eat from it.
I bought this hand pump mainly for sealing my mason jars to keep coffee, nuts, and leftovers fresh longer. It’s super simple: just place the lid on your jar or the cap on a sous vide bag, press the pump down, and give it a few presses. You can see and hear the vacuum seal happen, which is satisfying. It works perfectly on both wide and regular mouth jars. For sous vide bags, it creates a tight seal that holds up in the water bath.It's not motorized, so it takes a bit of elbow grease, but it’s small, stores easily in a drawer, and doesn't require any electricity or special bags. If you're looking for a cheap, no-fuss way to vacuum seal jars and the occasional bag, this little pump is totally worth it.
These glass bowls are top-quality and work in the microwave, oven, and dishwasher (without lids ). I got the manual pump to save money, but an electric pump is probably faster—I might buy one later. Vacuum stopped working after 2 weeks. Changed batteries and nothing, light turns green then shuts off. Bags and containers are great. Very disappointed that the vacuum stopped working.
I love these! I had purchased the big long black ones that was around years ago. Never used it once. Finally got rid of it. I bought this I was so maxed at how well it worked and the ease of use. The best part is the vacuum sealer is so small I keep it right on the counter with the salt and pepper. I bought the battery on which has lasted a long time and is very powerful. I use this every day now sometimes two and three times a day. It keeps everything so fresh. I’m impressed with how long my sliced mushrooms lasted! Great for avocados too. I like that the containers are made of glass as I am not using plastic containers anymore. I already bought 2 more sets for gifts. I would definitely recommend this product to save money on spoiled food.
