I love these. Better than the cheap
I love these. Better than the cheap, splintered stuff I find at many gourmet coffee shops. These are smooth and sturdy and can be reused for several cups of coffee/tea if you so desire. Out of the 500 that came in the box, I only had to pull out about 5 of them due to damage. I'm not sure what type of wood is used, but it's pretty strong and doesn't leave any wood flavor behind like some do. I want to try using them for mini shish kebabs because the bamboo skewers I've been finding recently leave a lot of splinters in the food. I don't have any concerns about these doing the same thing. These get two thumbs way up. Plus, they're not plastic. What's not to love? P.S. I can imagine these being helpful to school projects in lieu of Popsicle sticks and the like.

Longevity... reduces waste and over use.
These are really great wood stirrers... high end quality, clean, sanded, and firm. Although you may initially think you can buy cheaper ones, you will find quickly that those that are cheaper are flimsy and thin and folks tend to grab 3 or 4 of those each cup just to make the stir work. With these one stick is large and firm enough to properly mix coffee and sugar. We tend to use the same size box three times as long.

So, how do you get really impressed by coffee stirrers? Well, get these coffee stirrers and you will be. I got them for a craft project. Did not expect them to be so thick and well manufactured. They are all smooth, sturdy, seem thicker then your average popsicle stick too. They are all really straight, work so perfectly for crafts. I'm sure they would stir the heck out of your coffee too.
