Perfect- Exactly what I needed
We use, well, A LOT of spoons in this house, more than any of the other utensils, like forks and knives. Anyway, I needed some more teaspoon size spoons to go with my set because we kept running out before the dishwasher was ready to run. It took me forever to find ones that had the size listed in inches and was the correct size and didn’t have a flimsy handle, when he arrived I inspected the handle as I need it not to be sharp or too thin but these are absolutely perfect. Perfect size. Perfect handle. Perfect color to match my other silverware just an all-around five star purchase! Would recommend to anyone in need of extra spoons around the house!

Understated, Pleasing Design; Sturdy
The title and lead bullet points for these spoons state, “...Teaspoon, Coffee Espresso Spoon…” and “...suitable for use as coffee spoons, demitasse spoons, ice cream spoons, etc…” To be clear, a teaspoon, a coffee spoon and an espresso spoon (also called a demitasse spoon) are all different things. Espresso spoons are very diminutive, appropriate for demitasse cups or glasses with which they pair. I attached a photo of this spoon with my espresso shot glass and you will see that it is a bit too big for that purpose. Meanwhile, a coffee spoon is generally larger than a teaspoon, though there seems to be some overlap in what counts today as a coffee spoon. This spoon I review is what is usually accepted as a teaspoon. Its capacity is five milliliters (I checked this with a measuring teaspoon). Its size, as well, is what most of us consider a teaspoon by the eyeball test, if a bit on the larger side of that spectrum. Anyway, on to performance…I am not that fastidious about what kind of spoon I use if it gets the job done. Using this product, I put about a half teaspoon of sugar into my hot Vietnamese espresso and stirred it up. I also enjoyed eating some hard-packed ice cream, scooping it out with this, and can report that it is sturdy. We have all probably had cheap spoons bend when trying to scoop hard ice cream; no issues here. It was also big enough to satisfy the portions I want to eat with each mouthful and later worked fine as a dinner spoon. Probably not big enough to use as a serving spoon, but all in all, the size is pretty versatile. The rounded handle sat comfortable in my hand, especially when digging into that ice cream.When it comes to aesthetics, I liked the color and the curvature of the handle. The latter was pleasant enough, if fairly traditional. The finish has no decorative elements, but simplicity can be an elegant choice, too. About the only “possible” concern is that after using it and washing it several times on the day I tested it, some scratches were perceptible. I checked all our other spoons though, and they were all well-scratched. I guess I just never reviewed them before. Ha ha.If for a gift, the box this set comes in might affect the presentation. “Best Gift” is written prominently in front, a bit tacky if for an actual gift. “Made in China” also is prominently displayed, but that is less and less of a concern for most people these days. The company name, GoGeiLi, is embossed on the underside of the spoon, for that matter. Say it loud, say it proud. I could be a stickler and deduct a point for box, but I will not. I liked these spoons. The set of six is a nice value and these understated but attractive spoons are good for everyday use, casual company, and, yes, as a gift for close friends and family if in less than strictly formal occasions.Photos: The spoon with a double-shot espresso glass, with a normal coffee mug, and the box.
